Heh. Totally different from what we were told about the high ankle for Turpin and the whatever MRI thing with Vander Esch.

They better go find a linebacker someplace and quick.

This sounds less than ideal.

It wouldn't hurt us so bad if we could get some production from Sam Williams.
I am not seeing him turn much of a corner unless the feeding frenzy is on. He is not a smart player on the rise.

Talk about a dud. Williams has done jack shit thus far.

Well another rush body will be needed when Parsons is playing off the ball more.
we spent a 4th rounder on the guy. Lets see what made him worth it.

Might be better for Parsons to have him more as a Fred Warner type and only have him pass rush 30-40% of his reps. He’s not going to hold up imo.

Thing is, I don't think he is exactly that type, at least in terms of being able to do what Warner does.

Warner is arguably the best LB in the game so I doubt Parsons can match that, but I think he can play off the ball relatively seamlessly especially if it's only about half the snaps or so. He made a play or two in the backfield against SF from the off ball position in just a handful of plays.

I've always thought they should spare him a little wear and tear that way, especially in neutral downs/distances (2nd and 6, 3rd and 2, etc.), so I don't hate the idea.

I’d argue that if Parsons had been used like a Fred Warner from day one, kinda like his rookie year, then he’d have way more staying power as an elite defender than how he is being used now.
