How is that insulting to Williams? While in Dallas, Harper was looked at as a game changer. A weapon other teams had to seriously account for. I'm thinking Williams would be pretty happy to be thought of that way.

Who gives a shit what Harper did after he left here? Just like nobody will give a shit what Williams does if/when he leaves here.
He was lazy and basically didn't give a crap until the biggest and brightest lights turned on. Opening day, MNF, playoffs-- yeah he'd make some plays. The other 85% of football he'd glaze through practice and lean solely on his talent in games. Oh yeah, he was the owner of the famous White House, too.

Terrance Williams OTOH seems to really get it. He plays and practices like true pro. He wants to learn and get better. You never heard that from Alvin Harper who was blessed with unlimited talent but consistently failed to take it to the next level.

At one point people thought Kevin Williams of all people was going to pass Harper on the depth chart. It might have happened too if it wasn't so embarrassing for both the Cowboys and Harper.

Dallas had come to be identified with Harper's leaping grabs (not to mention that front page picture of Harper and Irvin holding raised hands after the first championship), but they were too few and too far in between.

As many of those leaping grabs he made, he made just as many drops that hit him right in the chest. He was one of the most frustrating WRs I've ever had to watch.
