As bad as the defense will likely be, I could actually see this team winning 8 or 9 games if we had a coach that knew how to scheme/coach to his team's strengths and weaknesses.
Everyone but L.T. Fan knows the defense is going to be garbage. Therefore it would be ideal to go with a style of play that will shorten the game and keep the defense off the field as much as possible. That means leaning more on the running game and less of the garbage that we saw in last year's Green Bay game.
Despite the upgrades we've made along the OL, I don't have confidence in any coach on the offensive side of the ball to actually creating and executing a game plan that will help protect the defense. All of them are content being pass happy and none of them have shown the cajones to step in when Romo goes overboard checking into pass plays.
If Garrett miraculously starts coaching with some common sense I could see 8 wins.
