Not really but I understand it if the philosophy is that we only have a 2-3 year window with Romo and want to maximize it as much as possible.

If you have a 2-3 year window with Romo, then you want to be able to improve the defense as well too. Having Murray get a 9 mil raise does not help at all.

I agree. It's the same shit as when we franchised Spencer twice and couldn't add a starter to a terrible OL. If we franchise Murray we tie our hands when it comes to adding a piece to the DL in FA, and I think that's a must-have.
