Would've been easier to hire a better HC, but Jerry wouldn't have been as comfortable with that. That was the whole idea.

They all have about the same shelf life.I know. I winning season primarily due to the two coordinators and we've locked him up long term.
I don't think you have to have a super duper head coach to produce a winner. You have to have one that knows how to staff people that can make you look good. That applies in many organizations. I have been a manager or supervisor virtually all my working career and i have found this to be true. If you get the right peiople and allow the staff to apply themselves chances they will make you look good.Would've been easier to hire a better HC, but Jerry wouldn't have been as comfortable with that.
If they fit the critera then yes.Any one of 500 coaches..
The Parcells/Landry 3 year rule for players is arbitrary, and it doesn't always work, but I think it's a good rule of thumb. I think it works for coaches pretty well too. There's only so long a team can be expected to throw good money after bad.Your definition is arbitrary and thus meaningless.
P-p-p-push it!
Look it up agenda-boy
I will from now on
...and tell me you say this like Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future.
He should've been canned a long time ago and gone back to being a DC. The Bengals are morons. John Fox has had far more success than Lewis and he even got the ax.Also, Marvin Lewis sucks. He's finally getting to the playoffs, WOO! His team folds like a wet napkin as soon as they get there. I wouldn't trade Jason Garrett for him.
Marvin Lewis is Black Wade Phillips. He should've been canned a long time ago and gone back to being a DC. The Bengals are morons. John Fox has had far more success than Lewis and he even got the ax.
He's not that bad but he isn't particularly good.Marvin Lewis is Black Wade Phillips.
Marvin's teams don't seem to be getting worse every single year though.Marvin can't get past the wildcard game. Clay nailed it.
In the long term Marvin has maintained the mediocrity longer than Wade. But I think the the comparison still holds. Neither can do better than a little above average.Marvin's teams don't seem to be getting worse every single year though.
He's had ups and downs, Cincy is just more patient with his failures than Buffalo, Denver or Dallas.Marvin's teams don't seem to be getting worse every single year though.
