I'd obviously rather have someone like Quincy Williams, don't get me wrong, but I'm not going to complain about our DC bringing in a LB who has started on his defense for a few years and played well.

Nothing excessive obviously, maybe 2/12 or whatever.

Why you got to hate the whites?

But yeah I struggle with the 32 year old LBer thing. Just feels like the wheels could fall off at any moment at that age.
He is not just a whitey. I can respect a Sean Lee.

He does the hippy long hair thing which is quite disturbing.

Interesting. I’m encouraged that BS is going to make the hire but whoever it is, we also have to worry about them forcing assistants on him.

That's just Belt saying that, and he's a huge toolbag.

I'll buy that BS will have more say this time, but no way is he "making the hire" himself.

I mean, Jerry as much as admitted that when asked the question directly at the PC.

I'm sure EZ will end up a decent player.

But we need a Parsons-like impact pass rusher. Not sure I think EZ will be that player.
is he too big to be an off-the-ball LB?

How tf would Eberflus have stopped the Micah trade?

And what coach is going to want to lose a top 5 defender who he's been missing all training camp?
:lol

This f'n guy is going to change the owner/GM/Forbes#1's mind?

He did a lot of stand up stuff in college as a pass rusher. But yeah not an off the ball guy.
Crazy to recall that Micah was that elite off-ball LB we'd been needing and we cheesed out on his pass rush and made him a DE.

It's preposterous. He wasn't about to tell his boss he was making a mistake.

There's also no way that McCarthy tolerated Diggs walking out of meetings. Belt is a major McCarthy hater for whatever reason.

Totally agree.

Ezeiruaku isn't the problem but he's not the solution either. They need an impact pass rusher, then everyone else can slot in behind that where they should be.

The problem comes when you rely on guys like Clowney, Ezeiruaku, Fowler and so forth to be your alphas. It's way harder for those guys when they face doubles and the opponent's top OL.

Get an alpha rusher who can handle those things and it helps everyone eat. Especially if you're not going to scheme guys free.

Ezeiruaku isn't bad but he's not that guy.
