And you would think we are too broke to even pay attention, but yet that's not the case. We're spending expired foodstamps.
As a postscript to the Osa trade, someone on the radio made a pretty good point to keep in mind moving forward about what Parker is looking for and not looking for at the position.
Still here:
Quinnen Williams 6'3 303
Kenny Clark 6'3 314
Otito Ogbonnia 6'4 320
Jay Toia 6'2 340
Not here:
Osa Odighizuwa 6'2 280
Solomon Thomas 6'3 295
290 is fine as long as you have the skill and take into account that Jalen Carter is 313 and Jordan Davis is 336. Also neither Ojomo or Milt Williams cost 20 mil a season. Lastly, Osa is 285 soaking wet. He does not play with power, it's just not his game.I mean it is fair. But then I go back to the Eagles and its like Ojomo is what 292? Milton Williams is 290?
So it feels like they do have room for players that are a little lighter and more athletic. So I'm wondering why that would be different here. And I get it not all 290ish pound guys are the same. But it seems like we would want a DT that's more in that range to work with all the big boys.
There is some cap room we won't spend.
Hey!Yea, so we just saved $14M on this guy and traded a top 5ish paid player on the roster and have done what exactly with the extra room?
Dick?
Hey!
He did not fit the scheme.
You…you must have faith in the Parker system.
It is like, a proven thing.
I guess I'm dumb. I understand that voidable years help with cap management, but how does going from 4 to 6 benefit the team?Rental. Who the fuck has six voidable years?
I would love to know what Christian Parker thinks about this offseason and how it's going. Like is he sitting there thinking, "fuck this sucks"?
I bet he's pretty happy so far. I would guess he's a lot more excited about guys like Locke and Otito than we are, and he's probably really really excited about Thompson.
He didn't get any linebackers yet but I'm sure they'll find one.
