Maybe, maybe not, I could see him staying in line as long as Lamb (a better WR than him) is around, and if he kills it this year I'd want to keep him.Pickens isn't a guy you want to pay. You want him playing for a contract, not getting one. He'll revert to being an insubordinate shithead once he cashes in.
I had him closer to 12 than 42 or whatever so that doesn't shock me. He was a top 20-25ish type for me.At 12?

Um, is it me or isn't he kind of favoring that knee after he landed and jogged back?

His dad is one of the biggest hard-assed HC's in NFL history, there was no way he was going to be another Wade Phillips. Will that translate to anything?Few random things, one of the media people said they were seeing more 12 personnel this year which I love to hear.
I really like what BS is selling so far. He talked today about how he wasn't a big 9-on-7 or 7-on-7 guy, because that's not how the game is played. He really does seem like he's trying to make the team more physical.
He also touched on Rob Jones working in with the starters and said it was because Booker was making some mistakes. Said he can't very well sell competition every day and then just hand everything to someone without their earning it. I thought that was awesome -- most coaches would dodge the question if not outright lie about it.
Will there be growing pains, I'm sure there will be, but I like him so far. I still think our roster will hold us back more than coaching will.
I don't think it means anything negative about Booker either, mostly (and it seemed to me this is what BS was saying) a rookie's head swimming a little bit with having to absorb so much new stuff so fast. But it's good to see he's showing the rookie and the rest of the team that if you make too many mistakes, we'll put someone else in.As for Booker, nothing wrong with rotating Jones in. If we hadn't drafted Booker we very well might have ended up starting Jones, and I'm sure that was part of the reason he signed here, so I don't think there's much to take from it.
Seemed like they were going run-heavy because it was the first day in pads but in the few true pass sets that I saw Guyton take I didn't see a clear loss, and he did really well against Williams a few times and Ezeiruaku once. Figured I'd mention it since I've been shitting on what I've seen from him as of late.
