You could argue that the Eagles had the best RB, the best OL, and a top 5 WR duo in the league this past season.

With all that being the case, Hurts was 20th in the league in passing yards (didn't even break 3,000!) and 21st in passing TD's (18, barely even 1 per game).

He's basically half average passer, half very good RB, and once those legs go, he's going to be horrendous. He's never even broken 4,000 yards passing or 25 passing TD's despite playing 17 games.

The Eagles could've gotten the same or similar passing production out of at least 15-20 QB's.
But when the Chiefs made the adjustments to deal with the strengths you named with the other players.Hurts stepped up his game to overcome that.

Easy to do when your defense basically scores two TD's for you to build a 24-0 lead and the Chiefs are held to less than 100 yards through 3 quarters.

Hurts made about 4 throws to get to that point, the defense is what won the game. I don't really care about what throws he made to go from a 28 point lead to a 35 point lead.

I've been to Philly about 8-10 times and I think I've hated it more every time I've been, and I've never really been there during football season. Just a complete fucking hellhole.
It is a shithole. Hell has a one up. Outside of some fanciful and overrated food, I don’t get it. I have been there three times non-football related and I found it to be like every other northern city but profoundly more retarded.

Each individual I have met that claims the city as their own has been distasteful.

Not to mention his OL so totally keeping pressure off of him. I did like the way his runs kept KC guessing, but that's more like the cherry on top of an offense already swimming in talent.

Yeah, watching the game, it was probably the easiest win for a QB I have seen in a long time. That was some of the least impressive passing I have seen from a QB in a Superbowl.

Man, some of you guys are just blinded by hate.

Hurts dropped a fucking 55 yard in the fucking air dime to Smith for a TD.
Leading 27 - 0 after the Chiefs gifted him 14 points. You really think it's something special to throw one 46 yard pass? You're easily impressed aren't you?

I mean, he didn't ball out like Peyton Manning or anything but he was 17/22 for 220 yards and 2 tds 1 int. He wasn't complete dogshit. He did what he was required to do.

I agree with that, he just wasn't required to do much. Mostly wide open guys with little pressure.

I will say I'm underrating what he did on the ground. His legs are a big part of this.

He had 70 yards, I think. This definitely tests the model that you have to have an elite qb to win it all. Says his cap hit was $13.5 million this year, that's fucking amazing.

He was unpressured, and when that happens every NFL QB can make that throw, especially long passes great WR’s can adjust to.

What Hurts did well was run on several occasions and that dimension broke the Chiefs who were stretched to their limit trying to pressure past that OL, stop Barkley, and cover a receiving corps including Brown and Smith.

With the defense being #1, Hurts is clearly the weakest link on that whole team.

He played within himself and didn’t lose the game. The one time I can recall him being pressured, he threw a pick.

But Mahomes was pressured almost constantly and even he couldn’t win under those circumstances, not without a lick of supporting talent on offense.

Philly exposed KC’s offense the same way Washington exposed a Detroit defense with no special players left healthy.
