Thank god we made that trade. You can’t pay 47 million a year for a 2 down player. Teams are going to beat up Micah and run right at him. He also appears to have legit back issues. Those don’t get better.

I think this game showed why trading him might have been the right move. They should've gotten more in the deal, but this game is a good example of why I said early on in the bullshit TC saga that I'd be fine trading him.

We were down our best offensive player and two starting OL (plus a third as the game went on), and yet we put up 40, almost always while playing from behind.

Parsons is obviously amazing as a pure speed rusher, and under the right circumstances he's unstoppable, but he's also best suited as a designated pass rusher who only plays 50-60% of the snaps because he's a liability vs. the run and has a tendency to wear down over the course of a season due to his lack of size. When the focus tightens and the games get bigger opposing offenses can scheme around him, which I believe we did tonight, and which is why he was relatively quiet in almost all of our playoff games.

We'd clearly be better this year with him, and the FO deserves blame for not building around him better over the last few years, but given the current roster I'd rather have the future resources than have given him a deal around 42-45/year where we'd likely be wasting another 1-2 of his prime years with him getting banged around in the run game.

If we had him on the roster with Dak playing like this we'd probably be about 2 games better at the end of the season, but this defense clearly is not capable of competing in the playoffs either with or without him, so I'd rather just have the future resources than what amounts to a depreciating asset in Parsons on a so-so team.

I bitch and moan about these clowns but I have to give Schotty credit…his guys hung in there and didn’t quit. Impressive outside of the several bonehead mistakes and no Lamb out there.
Another really good game by Dak, another really scary game by the defense. This offense isn’t going to score 35-40 points every week to cover the defense.
Running game looked good…I really am liking Javonte and the way he gets the tough yards.
Scariest part of the game is a tie is a win to Crusty Jerry and this will feed Jerry’s ego…he’s already told a national pregame audience he’s always right and now with Micah pretty much a no show tonight, Jerry’s gloating and wink/smile told ya so is going to be sickening.

You're right, but it crazy that they can give up 37 in regulation and we're saying they got better.
They are giving up huge chucks of yards at a time. LBers are sucking ass, no underneath coverage, screen and swing passes are not defended consistently if at all. Lots of problems there.

Dak played very well! Anyone saying he came up short is bitching just to bitch.

Geng made a hell of a point. Everyone is saying our defense got better and I’m pretty sure they didn’t force a punt the whole game. That’s crazy to think they’re “improved”.

A rookie with no camp and no offseason.

I just don't see why anyone would think he'll help.

Honestly I almost want him to just sit a year so that he's not ruined in this shit show.
He'd be better than Elam as long as he's fully recovered.

Although I think they might've benched Elam during OT last night, so let's hope on that. I know the FO hates Diggs but he's far better than Elam right now, who is just a complete sieve.

The starting 3 CBs should be Diggs, Bland and Steward with Revel presumably rotating in.

Elam is a complete scrub.

If he's worse than Elam after maybe 2-3 games to acclimate, who I believe is one of the worst CBs in the league right now, we have bigger problems.

I just don't think it's smart or even fair to expect a rookie with literally no NFL offseason or camp to come in mid season and expect him to hit the ground running in the middle of one of the worst defenses any of us can remember.

I'd much much rather sign Gilmore and just redshirt Revel.
