My understanding is that teams can offer a First round, second round, or original round tender.

This tender determines the compensation if the player signs elsewhere.

I'd imagine we'd make a first or second round tender for Aubrey which means we'd get that round pick in compensation if someone else signs him.

If we make an original round tender for him we're retarded.

In 2025 a first round tender is worth 7.5 million. A second round tender is worth about 5.3 million.

There's no reason to not make at least a second round tender.
