I mean then everyone is probably a little sucked. I doubt at any point anyone really thought we would beat the Eagles and Chiefs in back to back weeks. But beating Detroit on top of that would probably have some people hard core sucked in.
If we beat Detroit, then I’ll believe we have a real shot at the playoffs. But even then, it wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t.

Prior to the trades I thought we would lose 3 straight starting with the eagles. Post trade I still thought that but not as confident.

Hard to imagine that we could win out but we are in a way better place right now.

I think people are being overly reactive towards Turd. We’ve seen him do it before. Seen him display some athleticism. But for some reason, the vast majority of his routes are of the short dump off variety. The last couple games, we’ve seen him being used deeper down the seam. Saw it a couple times against the chiefs where he made some nice catches. Hopefully it continues.
Don't get me wrong, the guy has really turned it up since the Jets game.

He's had some big catches this year and he's found a way to be an effective endzone target which is great, so I have no gripes with him personally.

However, that doesn't change the fact that those screens and dump offs to him aren't very effective. And that's due in large part to the fact that he doesn't have much acceleration, lacks agility, and rarely breaks tackles -- the latter being the most puzzling given how big he is.

Those plays need to go to guys who can get up the field immediately after catching the ball and know how to navigate through traffic.

Unfortunately, neither of those two traits are Turd's strengths which is why I think we'd be better off giving those to Luepke.

Ugh, where'd my post go...

Anyway, beat Detroit - a big ask at their place - and we can start talking, because from then on our toughest opponents are at home, where we're much better this year.

Still doubt it happens because it's just too hard for any team to not have a slip-up somewhere. But at least we've kind of shown that this team can play with pretty much anyone. Now if Jerry will just pay to keep the team together next year...

McNuttz just said “we haven’t been sucked like this in decades.” Literally the post I was quoting. So him and whoever else he’s talking about.
I am sucked.

Whether we make the playoffs or not doesn't deter my pleasure... it's the beef in the middle of the line that's got me all flummoxed and there's nothing I can do about it.

I thought they could go 4-1 in this last stretch before the KC game and obviously still think that. The only difference now is 4-1 pute them at 10-6-1 with a shot at the playoffs while with a loss to KC they would've been 9-7-1 with almost no shot.

Going 5-0 seems very unlikely but if they can pull out the Lions game, maybe.

I don't think anything more than one playoff win is realistic though, my main focus is on seeing the defense continue to improve and show signs of being a unit that could be good enough to make a big run next year with some additions.
Beating the Lions is not out of the question … StBrown is banged up … they are down to TE3 and 4 on offense … defense is middle of pack in rush/ pass and total …barring a turnover barrage this game seems within reach

They’ve looked very unimpressive the last few games.

Still want to know how they define a pressure. He has five (correction five reps lost, WTF ever that means) , I think Broaddus had none except for the 2-point conversion.

Saw a tweet that since Nate came in during the Eagles game, Dak has been sacked one time for like two yards. So something is going right.

And besides, why are we declaring Guyton is definitively better when this was Nate's second start ever after a redshirt year when he couldn't even properly practice? But Guyton is well into his second year, a first rounder from a football factory, and we're always told how patient we need to be with him?

What I've seen is too many of these Twitterati types have already declared that they love Guyton (who I have nothing against) so often that they can't admit they could be wrong.
