You might be right, and I do think his emotions (he loves talking about how "pissed off" he gets) lead to certain decisions.
That's exactly what I had in mind when I typed that. I know he's trying to be Mr. Open and Honest and all, but that's pretty childish to say I called a bomb because I got pissed off. That's not how you call a game.

I agree although I think he also trusted the defense to get a stop with the Eagles starting at the 2 yard line as opposed to the 35.
Sure but it's still super risky to not just get the lead, especially when a TD wouldn't have iced the game.

If we were up 4 and wanted to go for the kill shot instead of just going up 7 with the FG I'd respect that more, the value there is immense because you're basically ending the game right then and there. Nothing we did there was going to end the game either way, so I think it's insane to risk leaving the game tied and giving the ball back to Philly when a FG and one single stop ends the game.

I just hate the play calling when we get to like the 2 yard line. You have this massive Oline. A really good RB. Just smash it in. The Eagles would have tush pushed that for a TD no problem.

that’s kind of where I’m at. In the moment, I think there was some frustration over CD not catching the ball the play before and maybe that affected the decision. Which it shouldn’t.

if this was 6 weeks ago, yeah go for it every time, because you can’t trust the defense. But in my mind things have changed, and certainly in that game, the defense was clearly controlling them by that point. It was more prudent to just take the lead.

I saw the 5 man and the dropping Houston last night and I think it was great. It's basically a 3-4. And we have a stellar 3 man Dline.
Exactly. I love it.

I'm just shocked in a good way that Eberflus was flexible enough to try it.

That’s my thinking, too.

No matter what decision is made, people will always second guess it if it doesn’t work in their favor. If we kick the FG to take the lead, and the eagles then drive to tie or take the lead, people would be saying how retarded he was not to go for the TD. Nature of the beast.

I wouldn't have ever said that.

I would've complained about throwing twice in a row from the 2 yard line on 2nd/3rd down though, that's for sure.

I mean, that was supposed to be the point of the first round guards, right? Late 4th quarter, gotta have it situations and we want to be able to run the ball?

Right, isn't that why you take a guard at 12, because he's a huge mauler? Plus you have Tyler Smith and a 325 lb center you really like. Even Steele can at least run block.

The best thing about that win is that we basically fucked the Eagles out of HFA.

I don't think the Rams will lose more than one game the rest of the way and there's almost no chance the Eagles win out with a game at Buffalo in late December.

And there is a 0.0% chance the Eagles are winning a playoff game at LA after the playoff game last year and their fluke win with the blocked FG's this year.

Completely different argument. But yeah. Run, run, run, then run again if need be. Only way I’m passing there is if we get a penalty or a big loss on a run n attempt.

As an aside, I've said several times that Fangio saved Sirianni's job, and continues to do so. Their offense last year was basically just spamming Barkley, Hurts running and the fag push, and a few 50/50 shots their elite WR's.

Now that Barkley is cooked their offense is ass, if you replace Fangio with an avearge DC they'd be about 5-6.

But it's fine because next year Barkley will be even more cooked, AJ Brown will hopefully be traded, and no sort of wizardy from Fangio will be enough to save them.
