49ers, Giants, Washington all lose and Steelers playing towards a loss. What an enjoyable Sunday without having to worry about the Cowboys defense.
We should've hired Vrabel, amongst any number of other candidates who were clearly better than Schottenheimer, but here we are.Is there a better owner in the NFL than Robert Kraft? Realizes and owns huge HC hiring fuck up then replaces him the next year with a great one.
Of course I would take him over Eberflus but I don't really think I want him back here.Chances Quinn is back here as DC if he gets fired?
I think they'll probably give him another season but their defense is so bad that I wouldn't be shocked, and of course him and Schottenheimer are boys.
Cant disagree with this. We just now started addressing the DT position. Dont want to go backwards.Of course I would take him over Eberflus but I don't really think I want him back here.
I think he's a poor man's Wade Phillips -- a guy that is guaranteed to come in and fix your defense but only for 2 or 3 years before it gets figured out again and you're forced to move on.
And like Wade Phillips, his defenses are flashy. They get lots of sacks and turnovers but they don't always do the fundamental things right which is why they have a shelf life.
I want a defense built on being tough in the trenches first that can stop the run and execute well. Those are the ones who have the most long term success....see Dick Lebeau and Bill Belichick.
I think Zimmer was a guy like that but he was done with coaching unless he's a HC apparently.Of course I would take him over Eberflus but I don't really think I want him back here.

Vrabel was my first choice all along, but Jerry would never hire him. Vrabel would want to actually have control and run the team. And we know that doesn't work here.
I hate having to root for the Eagles.

I'll choose to be happy about either outcome. It's not that I want Philly to lose. I just want the highest draft pick possible.![]()

That is exactly, almost word for word how I was explaining my thoughts on the game to a buddy earlier today.I look at tonight's game as a win/win, lose/lose.
Something good and bad happens no matter what the result is.
What if both QB's get hurt in the process? That is exactly, almost word for word how I was explaining my thoughts on the game to a buddy earlier today.
