I think he had a reputation at Clemson as kind of a nutcase.

This guy is going to get fucking wrecked if he thinks he's going to be playing a meaningful number of snaps on both sides.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should. This guy is going to get fucking wrecked if he thinks he's going to be playing a meaningful number of snaps on both sides.
He might be able to do it for like half a season but by the end of the year he's going to be completely worn down and a shell of himself.
I'm sure he'll try both for awhile, then after splitting his preparation time and getting roasted by NFL passing games for a bit, he'll drop the charade and focus on just WR.Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
At the end of the day maybe he could go both ways and be mediocre to good at both at the same time.
But the objective is greatness. I appreciate the kids confidence but he should probably focus on being special/elite or whatever at one position. Because ultimately that is way more valuable then being able to play 2 positions full time.
Eh, I have no dislike for the kid. Just doubts about what he thinks he can do.I hope he tries it and gives up multiple TDs per game.
He is ghetto as shit. I would question his commitment to the game. And now he calls himself the "unicorn". GTFOHEh, I have no dislike for the kid. Just doubts about what he thinks he can do.
I don't dislike or even know anything about him personally. I do think plenty of other players could have done this if they had a coach like Deion who pushed for it the same way. IOW, not a unicorn.Eh, I have no dislike for the kid. Just doubts about what he thinks he can do.
Even if he is a unicorn, no one has the endurance to go 100% full time on both sides of the ball. I think he could be a probowl corner. I think he could be a probowl WR. But if he never dedicates himself full time to one of those positions, he won't ever reach his full potential at either. Just my humble opinion.I don't dislike or even know anything about him personally. I do think plenty of other players could have done this if they had a coach like Deion who pushed for it the same way. IOW, not a unicorn.
I'd think he'd be used just like Deion was, as a corner who gets on the field occasionally as a WR. I don't see how you do it much of any other way.Sure he could focus on being an elite corner and do some WR stuff based entirely on his athleticism. Hell maybe he could even be an elite WR and play some subpackages at corner. But that feels way ro difficult given that NFL teams run nickle most of the time.
Wrs make more than CBs. If he truly does have the skill to make it at either position, I have little doubt that's the route he'll eventually take fulltime.I'd think he'd be used just like Deion was, as a corner who gets on the field occasionally as a WR. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see a smaller guy like him ever being on a Chase or Jefferson level. And I don't think he's uber fast like a Tyreek Hill. And hey, Sauce Gardner got 30 mil per year.Wrs make more than CBs. If he truly does have the skill to make it at either position, I have little doubt that's the route he'll eventually take fulltime.
His hands and ball skills are pretty special. He isn't really that small. He is 6 foot 188 pounds. And in today's NFL where you can't put hands on a receiver without getting in trouble his elite change of direction skills could be special. You don't have to be massive to be a great receiver. See Antonio Brown before he went wacko.Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see a smaller guy like him ever being on a Chase or Jefferson level. And I don't think he's uber fast like a Tyreek Hill.
