A second, a first, and Mazi.

Not that Mazi is worth much at this point but this is too much to pay.

Oh, I agree, I'm just glad he was jettisoned before his rookie deal was up. It was time for him to get tf out.

The guy has one sack this year.

He had 6 and 5 .5 the prior two years.

We paid Micah Parsons prices for a player who is in decline and basically not an impact player anymore.

This price was because three years ago he had 12 sacks.

I don't think he is in decline. He is literally one of the best DTs against the run in the NFL.

This is the kind of price you pay for Jordan Davis or Jalen Carter.

This is nuts for a 28 year old declining player.

You gave up just ONE first for a 24 year old Pro Bowl WR.

Williams isn't making any Pro Bowls here.

This is an insane price to pay.

Technically he is 27.

He is also a better player than both guys you mentioned.

And just to be clear I think it's an overpay. But Williams is a legit stud DT. I just wouldn't have wanted to give up a first and second round pick for anyone.

@Simpleton Get in here man
Like the Parsons move (slight underpay) I think this was a slight overpay but it's not horrendous.

I'm just glad they're seemingly picking a lane and going all in over these next 2-3 years, even if I don't totally agree.

Williams is a bona fide elite DT and the trade effectively ends up being Parsons and our 2026 2 for Williams, Clark and GB's 2026 1.

We should've gotten a little more (or gave up a little less) but it's not bad.

I think Clark still has value here if the defense can somehow stop being a complete dumpster fire.

Jordan Davis is a JAG, Carter I agree.

And he could easily make Pro Bowls here, he's only 28, you see guys like DeForest Buckner, Leonard Williams and Cameron Heyward dominating at 31-32+.

We overpaid by like two rounds though, it should've been a 2026 4 and 2027 1, or vice versa.

I think the fact that they held on to both 2026 1's is a sign that they plan on being aggressive trying to win over the life of Dak's current contract (2026-28).

Jerry is normally a bumblefuck but he gets arguably the best DT in the league ready to plug in to the DL in his prime for a very reasonable cost. But he’s also gambling on Dallas finishing with a really good record in 2026, so there’s that. If they shit the bed and pick around 8-10 the trade is a bit tougher to eat.

But as of right now it’s nice to still have two #1’s in the pocket for the draft.
