Why not?

I don't think he has a whole lot of pass rush juice left but I'm fairly certain he can still set the edge comfortably, while providing a bit of complementary pass rush with his power to constrict the pocket.

Would've liked Zadarius Smith better. But I'm cool with it for sure.

Meh, I think they're more or less the same player at this stage.

Jumbo edge setters who are past their prime but can provide some value as part of a rotation. Neither are needle movers though, and it's pretty telling that the Eagles are seemingly going to rely on Smith as their 2nd edge rusher.

Most of them aren't great against the run and Clowney provides a physical edge-setting presence. I think Kneeland is very legit vs. the run, and Williams is seemingly fine, but Fowler, Ezeiruaku and Houston are all relatively undersized and better rushing the passer.

So from that perspective I get it.
Yeah and for those reasons I'm fine with signing him. I'm also fine if we don't. I just don't want to see Kneeland lose snaps for it. Or EZ or Houston frankly. Fowler or Sam Williams I'm frankly indifferent on. Although I thought Sam Williams looked very good against the Eagles.

Its bad timing but everyone gets hurt. This sounds minor at least.
Sounds chronic with Bland's foot.

Not a great development, but I disagree re: the timing... might as well have this happen when we're playing the Giants at home.

Not to jinx it totally, but between Diggs and shifted safeties, we should have Nabers covered (literally).

Its not the same foot.

So much for all the hype of a guy setting the edge and it being a SB caliber defense.

He probably wanted more than league minimum. Cant have that with our 40 mill cap space.
