Ridiculous that she comes to some of those conclusions. Does Warren Buffett manage all the companies he buys just because he pays millions (or billions) for them? Of course not.
Completely different scenario, though. If Buffett has one or two of those companies that go tits up, it barely scratches his overall portfolio. Jerry put all of his eggs into one basket. If it failed, then he goes under. That's all she was saying.

But even saying that, Jerry is damn lucky that he had Jimmy from day one. Or he very well may have failed.

I don't plan on watching it either but people seem to be raving about it. I've even seen a few people say it's better than "The Last Dance".

But I did run into this clip (I'm sure someone has already posted it somewhere) that gives me a glimmer of hope once Jerry is dead and out of the picture.

Things will be better one way or the other once he's gone.

He provides literally no value whatsoever these days, none, zero.

There's also almost no chance this is better than the Last Dance, but I'm not going to watch so I won't know for sure either way.

Forgot to put it in my post but Stephen's response gives me hope.

I like that he leans towards tacticians. Jerry on the other hand, seems to value guys who can talk a good game over guys who can actually walk the walk.

Jerry values a guy who he can be buddies with. He doesn't give a shit about x's and o's. Frankly he has never really valued the concept that a coach wins games. He thinks it's 100% players and the coaches are minimal at best.

Just what happens when a fucking fossil runs the business most of the time.

Remember when Al Davis devolved to the point he was drafting QBs based purely on arm strength and unheard of safeties from Ohio U because he ran a 4.3?
The real question is whether Goof will pivot like Bowl Cut did after a lengthy reign of fail.

At least Stephen sounds like he cares about which type of coach is better.

Jerry just wants someone who makes him comfortable and who takes orders the right way.

And don't forget guys he can control.

I listened to an interview of one of the guys involved in the documentary and he mentioned one thing that stood out to him regarding Jerry Jones and coaches, is how important "being comfortable" was to Jerry. It reminded me of how happy he was when Parcells moved on because he didn't have to walk around on eggshells anymore.

And the first season? That was Jimmy, who was doing everything football. Has nothing to do with today, 35 years later.
Right, 31 other owners bought a team and handed the keys to a General Manager.

So fuck Jerry.

29......Bengals are in the same boat as us. Just lucky to have been in position to get Burrow.

Packers fans never ever have to worry about bullshit like this.

Doesn't Herschel talk like a fag with a lisp or am I thinking of Mike Tyson?
