One of the biggest fallacies ever is that being rich = intelligence, and that the richer you are the smarter you are.

Totally ridiculous.
A lot of the time is it the luck of the draw.

Stephen Jones, for example. He just happened to slither out of the right hole.

You cannot convince me that imbecile is, in any way, smart.

Another motherfucker born on third base, driving to college in a Caddie.

Then gambled in the oil business and hit it bigger. Took balls, not brains.

Outside of the Browns in Cincy, no team has the grossness we do in the front office. And both teams behave the same and get similar results.

Jerry's 82 and has to win now. That will preclude a trade.
That’s the only glimmer of hope. The wheels really start to come off in that 81-87 age bracket.

This poor bastard still thinks he can succeed in this fucked up environment.

Bless his heart.

I feel sorry for him.
If I’m him, as long as the paycheck clears, fuck all.

I haven’t seen Ernie’s take on this (unless I missed it). How are we supposed to take any of this seriously without his take??

Maybe the key is for the players to unite in their hatred for Jerry? Not sure we have ever seen this.
I think there's definitely a difference between the players of the last 10 to 15 years from the ones of the 90s/2000s.

The former mostly seem to be very fond of Jerry Jones and have spoken of their personal relationships with him, whereas the latter seem to have no sort of bond or relationship with him.

Sure, but the vast majority of millionaires in this country did not inherit their money.

It's not a linear scale but you generally have to be pretty smart to be able to take advantage of the luck.

It's interesting that the players used to like Jerry.

It seems like a big contingency of our current and former ones view him as a necessary evil or they don't like him at all.

Damn, timestamped.
