This is someone we should be interested in and I bet he'd fit nicely into Stephen's cheap ass plans.
Played 67% and 69% of the snaps over the last two years, he wouldn't play that much here but he'd be a nice rotational fit who can set the edge as a DE on neutral downs while kicking inside in clear pass rushing situations.
3.5 sacks, 9 TFL and 16 QB hits in 2023.
3.5 sacks, 7 TFL and 16 QB hits in 2024.
I bet he'd sign a 2/8 or 2/10 type deal, and if he can give us 3-4 sacks and double digit QB hits that'd be a definite win.
Parsons and Odighizuwa are our only DL over the last two years to have 16+ QB hits in a season. Someone like Dorance Armstrong for example has only had 16 QB hits once in a season.
Walker would be a massive bargain at the price I'm imagining.

Golston will likely be the one to go and Walker is pretty much just a better version of him, albeit older.

16 QB hits is a lot though, and Odighizuwa has only averaged about 3-4 sacks a year himself and is about to get probably 18-20 per year.

Yeah but a DT is different than a DE.
And Golston notched 5.5 sacks last year while starting 13 games. He is a better younger version of Walker in my book. Walker notched 3.5 while starting all 17 games. The QB hits are nice and all. But you'd think that many hits would actually translate to something.
