5th hardest schedule in the NFL combined with a new head coach , o-coordinator, D-coordinator… a gimp for QB , no bell cow at the RB position …a suspect secondary ….even the Smurfs scare me now with that D-Line they have …. It all hinges on McCarthy but playing them doesn't scare me much, especially at home.

It's why I always think it's silly to go through a schedule and predict wins and losses at this time of year. Shit changes in the NFL so fast. Injuries happen. Teams that were great the previous year aren't anymore. Sometimes teams have a rough stretch where they play like poop. Some teams that were good the year before fall off.

Teams that I'm sure will be in the playoffs this year though. Chiefs, Eagles and Lions. Barring an injury to their QBs, those will be tough games no matter what. Everyone else? Who really knows. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Redskins take a step back for example. Bears, Jets, Raiders and Cardinals who fucking knows. Those teams could blow massively or they could be ok.

So in the end you just try to make your team as great as possible. And worry about the opponents as they come up on the schedule. It's why I've never really understood the fake hype surrounding the schedule release.

I think the Vikes were a pretender last year. Sometimes you get a team that just somehow wins games but isn't really that great. The Vikings were that to me last year. So even with Darnold at QB I'd expect them to come back down to earth. With a second year QB in McCarthy, I think it could be easily a non playoff team. Wouldn't be shocked if they only win 6-8 games. Other than 2 stud WR's they kind of seem meh to me. Aaron Jones is a solid little back but dude is 30 going on 31.

I generally agree but I still think they were a solid 10ish win team as opposed to the 14 or whatever they won.

Their OL is really good, they have the WR's as you mention, and their front 7 is dangerous after adding Jonathan Allen and Hargrave, to go along with what they already had.

So they're a good team, sure, but I don't think they're significantly better than us, if better at all.
