You comfortable with him starting? Im not sold but yes I did forget him.
No I'm not. I was mostly joking because you said Revel will be the only one back.

I've seen Carson have some really good games this year and I've seen him have bad ones. This scheme makes it extremely difficult to judge these guys though. Just an example, Revel could have a guy blanketed but if you rush three and give the QB the ability to have no rush in front of him with unlimited time, eventually Revel isn't going to be in perfect position. So do you blame the corner? Do you blame the pass rush? Or do you blame the most retarded defensive play you could have called on a 4th and 3?

Again, every single player on this defense had a bad year. That's coaching. Bad coaching.

Yeah, I mean there are certain guys like Murray that I can look at and go, I don't care about the scheme that guy is utter shit. But when it comes to guys like Carson, Revel, Ez. I see the flashes. And I honestly just wonder if the coaching and scheme aren't totally fucking them. Its makes for a harder evaluation.

Mainly talking about the first round and we all agree (i think) that cb needs to be addressed. What about both picks because you are looking at the possibility of having just Revel back from this squad. Same foot issue concerns me with Bland and Im just doubtful that he will be back the same as prior to the first surgery. Even though I dont think last season that he had a good season but my memory could have failed me on that.
Both 1's on a CB?

Fuck no, totally unnecessary.

It was slightly hyperbole but not too enthused about what could/should be an empty secondary.
Yeah it becomes a bit of a numbers thing where it's just like, do we even have bodies that can take the field? Which is the problem with counting on Diggs and Bland for example. Before this season that would have sounded like a nice combo. But then you remember Bland is coming off injuries, Diggs is coming off a serious surgery. And the reality is you barely ever saw both guys on the field at the same time. And Bland has looked off balance and out of his element most of the season. Now we find out that the bum foot from the year before is still a bum foot.

Technically under contract for next year we still have Carson, Revel, Diggs and Bland. But that gets real thin if Bland's surgery is anything serious and Diggs gets cut.

Similar problem at DE next year. Do we have anyone under contract besides EZ? This is what happens when everyone signing is a 1 year deal. Unless you have guys on rookie deals, there is massive turnover.

Williams will get the previously-injured-look-how-smart-we-were-to-sign-him bump.

Has any team ever drafted the same position twice in the first round. That would be weird.

I googled this and Google's AI was hilariously wrong.

Examples & Nuances
Same Year (Different Picks): The 1999 Browns drafted QB Tim Couch (1st pick) and QB Akili Smith (around 3rd pick, later in the round) in the same first round, a notable, though disastrous, attempt to get a franchise QB.
Back-to-Back Drafts: The Colts famously took QB Peyton Manning (1st overall) in 1998 and then another QB (Steve Hutchinson, though he ended up an OT) in 1999, showing intent to fill a need, but not strictly the same position twice in the same round.

:lol
