The NFL could easily just say teams have to video call players when they're picking them, that way you can see who is calling.

Seems pretty simple to me.

But safeguarding players info is important either way.
Or give them a list of 32 numbers. If it isn’t on the list it isn’t legitimate

This seems pretty simple. I was going to say just give every kid a phone but that gets complicated because of the unknown of who will get drafted out of a massive pool of players.

Wonder if Mazi (and Guyton?) made them re-think things.

  • Tommy Akingbesote, DT: 6.18u
  • Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE: 7.97u
  • Shemar James, LB: 6.98u
  • Tyler Booker OL: 4.15u
  • Jaydon Blue 6.34

  • the rest of our draft picks did not qualify. The low score of Booker and the others missing with none being high is likely the reason.

  • Alijah Clark, DB: 6.99u

Revel for example would have scored very high.

But Booker and a NT bring it way down.

If you draft players who are injured or do not workout, it affects the scores. But I recall when practically everyone we drafted scored high on the athletic indexes.

Well and you have EZ who didn't run a forty but posted like the fastest shuttle times at the combine for a DE. So not sure how you judge that kind of stuff.

When I went back and listened to some Ticket commentary yesterday, one thing I noticed is George Dunham , who actually does have sources in the organization, said he was told the scouts and coaches were more on the same page this draft than in many, many years.

He also said he has some people in personnel and other departments raving about how good they think Schottenheimer is.

Doesn't mean he'll be a great or even good coach, but I guess it's better than these people saying he sucks.

This was one of our best drafts in years so that'd track.

The biggest thing to me was that there weren't any stupid fucking reaches in the 2nd/3rd like Kelvin Joseph, Luke Schoonmaker or Trysten Hill.

I think Eze will probably go down as one of our best 2nd round picks in recent memory, alongside Diggs and Lawrence.

Yeah it was a relief that we for once didn't seem to draft for need at all. Revel was really the first pick that fit with a big need and I think that was just the stars aligning where he fell and would legitimately be the top guy on our board.

I may disagree with where we had guys ranked but I think we got a really good player in Booker. I just think he was ranked on our board higher than he should have been. Would have loved to see a trade down but sometimes you don't have a reasonable offer to do that.

By all accounts the coaches took a pretty hands off approach with the draft. I'm sure they had input but this didn't have the feel of Quinn forcing a pet cat on everyone. Maybe James was sort of an Eberflus move, but with a second fifth round pick that feels OK.

A fourth round pick for Justin Fields just feels so silly. The dude sucks balls. And the Steelers get a fourth round pick for him.

You pick up two trash QBs for a year. And get a fourth and fifth round pick for letting them leave.

I get that, since the money is higher, but I'd like to know why Haasan Reddick garners a 4th for a 1 yr, 14 mil contract signed, and Demarcus Lawrence gets a 5th for 3yrs 32.5. I get the yearly is slightly higher, but this makes no sense to me. Also, Reddick has 12 mil guaranteed, while Lawrence has 18 mil guaranteed.
