Nothing to give any glimmers of hope through 2 pre-season games.

Nothing.
I know some will say this is boomer-ish, etc., but to me it makes the team look clownish when the starters are laughing and cheesing it up on the sideline as the backups get their asses totally kicked. I'm not saying they have to act like it's a funeral, but those are your teammates taking a hellacious beating. Just makes it look like the players know we're all about the flashy stars and nothing else.

That behavior is not new.

Boomer.

I mean, what can he say when the jackass who signs his checks makes him play the bum he traded for?

Random Thoughts:

-Milton is so bad it's hard to gauge anything offensively, even when he makes plays they feel forced and random, there's no rhythm whatsoever.
-I'd still argue that having a shitty backup right now is a good thing, if Dak misses meaningful time I don't want some competent yet limited backup dragging us to 7-10, I want to be 5-12 or worse and get a premium pick. That's doubly true given that we should be on the lookout for our future QB.
-Sanders might be cooked, he looked terrible and seemed to be running to darkness when there were other lanes open. I wish we could've seen Mafah get a few touches earlier because he definitely looks like he has more juice.
-Disappointed that Ezeiruaku hasn't flashed more, I've seen him get penetration and a little pressure a few times but overall I expected to see more. He's undersized though and I think it's going to take a minute for him to figure out how to work his moves against NFL-sized OT's.
-Interesting to see some of the alignments that Eberflus is using and I think we're going to see some "3-4" looks mixed in a decent bit with guys like Parsons and Fowler standing up.
-I think Mazi might straight up get cut, he's clearly behind Osa and Thomas, I think he might be behind Toia on the depth chart as well, and Winfrey honestly looks better at this point too.
-Childress looks like he's going to be the nickel to start the year until Diggs/Revel or whoever comes back. He's probably going to be shaky in coverage but he looks like a legit weapon as a blitzer. Had a TFL week 1, nearly had one tonight and had the pressure on the Booth INT.
-Interesting that Bass came in as the 2nd string center after Beebe, might mean that either he or Hoffman gets cut.
-Booth had the pick obviously but he gave up more catches than anybody in the first half, the coaches seem to like him but if he ever has to play it's going to be really bad.
-Booker looked fine, again, hard to take anything away from the offense with Milton being so bad but overall he looked firm in pass protection and got some movement in the run game.
-LB is going to be a strength, it might not matter much if our DT situation is completely fucked against the run, but I think this is going to be our strongest LB group in a long while even without Overshown.

Yeah, I am starting to think he is over his head.
Maybe but he's probably just trying to protect Milton and not throw him under the bus.

We haven't seen like 20 starters play a single snap, nothing over these first two games will translate much to the regular season.

But Schottenheimer never really should've been hired in the first place so he could definitely be a straight up toad.
