Hearing this is no surprise. What's strange is seeing Broadus put himself in Jerry's crosshairs.
He is part of that radio station that has the shows that will speak out. His segment I believe is the 3pm - 7pm and they are pretty vocal about it. That's the same station that had Jerry talking about firing the guys from an earlier show last season.

I'd be thanking the lawd too if I were getting ready to get paid 250k per year to practice football.

Yeah if he doesn't hook on anywhere else I'm sure he'll be on our practice squad.

There isn't anybody who I would be overly upset about cutting.

James Houston or Toia are probably the closest things but even someone like Houston is a guy who has bounced around and had some bad injuries, plus edge is probably one of our deepest positions if Micah is around.

I think we all know these bottom of the roster guys aren't going to make or break the team, Archer. But you still want to get the roster right, and there's nothing wrong with having your favorites.

I do think he has a point though. There are plenty of people particularly on Twitter and reddit who get very carried away with some of these players. Check out the Holden Twitter post for reference.

That said, yes there are guys that we should be keeping over lesser players, like Mafah over Sanders.

Dude is better than Sanders...

Before we worry about Nepo babies, we should worry about washed up veteran RBs...

But Mafah looked better than both guys so we should have dumped both.
I'm not sure that Sanders is worse than Vaughn, we're basing that on like 6 carries in one preseason game, it's very possible that Sanders being a vet will turn it up a bit when the actual season gets here, especially once he's playing with starting-caliber players.

We've seen what Vaughn is and him looking passable for two quarters in a final preseason game doesn't change that.

Throw him on the PS if you want because he knows the system and seems to be somewhat decent in pass protection, but you aren't losing anything with him.

I was a big fan of Holden and thought he was a candidate for the 53, but he looked kinda meh in the last preseason game while Brooks and Flournoy played well, so I get it.

I'd be very annoyed if he went to someone else's PS though, assuming we didn't make an effort to add him to ours, but if someone wants to give him a 53 spot so be it.

Shocking that this FO managed to get some value out of someone they were going to cut.
Yeah, props for at least trying to get something, and doing it.

Maybe the Saints were as stupid as they were on that 4th for that WR, although with terms not mentioned it's probably a conditional sixth or seventh.

Yeah that wasn't meant as a positive for Deuce. I have the last two years in Carolina to judge Sanders on as well and he was trash. Maybe you say, well he played on a shitty team. The problem is Hubbard didn't have a problem looking great there in the shitty environment.

I always thought the Sanders signing was a throw away. 28 year old RB coming off back to back pathetic seasons. To me it's obvious the dude is washed and carries no value in the NFL. The pathetic preseason just supported what I already thought. He is washed up.
