I watched most of the Baylor vs Auburn game last night just to see what Jackson Arnold looked like in a different environment.

He looks better. He did most of his damage as a runner. I still wasn't overly impressed with him as a passer. Looks like there are still some issues in that department.

Baylor's run defense was pretty soft last year and looked even worse last night. Auburn averaged 6 ypc last night, so Arnold didn't have to do too much as a passer.

We'll see how it looks a few weeks from now when we get into SEC play and he has to carry more of the load as a passer.

Not at all.

Eager to see if both Manning and this team have what it takes to go all the way.
I don't care for either team but I'm excited to watch the game. These are the teams that produce the first round picks. We have the first round picks baby!!

Manning
Colin Simmons (27)
Jeremiah Smith (27)
Sonny Styles
Caleb Downs
Anthony Hill Jr.

Those are the potential elite talents to keep an eye on, both teams have some legit RBs too.

I only saw a few minutes -- didn't realize they were playing until late -- and to me he looked about the same. Like you say, probably a little better just from natural progression and maturity, but not some massive leap. It'll probably help him that it looks like they're back to more of the pure Briles offense and not that hybrid mess they tried last year with Littrell.

Arch just needs one big pass to settle down. Or maybe he's overrated.

So far, Texas looks better in the trenches.

And Smith could stop dropping the ball. :mad

Arch...5/10 26 yards.....:skurred
But but but.... he's a generational QB who's the Heisman front runner.

Didn't you check the resume? No run of the mill QB could've beat ULM and Miss State (2-10).
