Inexpensive and still a big name.
Who can sell jerseys and the fact that he's rostered can help justify Jerry Jones' huge investment in him in his prior contract.

Jerry would tell you Ezekiel is as good as Derrick Henry, but just hasn't received the 'same opportunity'

Derrick Henry is already top ten all-time in TDs among RBs (tied with Barry Sanders today), has a 2000 yard season (is on pace for another 2000 yard season), a 99 yard TD, and at 10375 yards is on pace to hit 11610 putting him past Stephen Jackson at 18th all time. He has a ridiculous 17 game average of 1400 yards (rivaling LT at 1368, AP at 1378, and Emmitt at 1381 but behind Barry's insane 1697 and Jim Brown's legendary 1774), and another 1000+ season would then put him past Jim Brown at 11 and knocking at the door of Tony Dorsett-- all by his 10th season.

Barring injury, Derrick is headed for the HOF, Superbowl or no.

Zeke... ain't.

Henry is HOF caliber I think.

Zeke was great but probably too abbreviated to belong in the Hall. Classic case of hall of very good.

Aside from that, the rankings and numbers of RBs throughout the years is kind of skewed and I'm not sure should really be relied upon. Case in point guys like Stephen Jackson and Frank Gore who seem on the surface to have sufficient numbers but to me are also Hall of Very Good guys and shouldn't sniff the Hall despite the numbers.

All that aside, I'm not sure what any of this has to do with whether Henry is better than Zeke or anyone else on the roster today, because he very clearly is, and might still be the best in football. Clearly we should have signed him.
