So I don't like running the ball with Turpin. But honestly, I do like him on offense. He has legit deep speed and quickness. I think he could be a lot of what we needed Cooks to be. Deep speed to take the top off. Those quick shifty routes. And let Tolbert run all the other routes.
Agreed. Could be even better with an innovative playcaller.

Once Saints’ Shaheed burnt us, maybe Fat Mike’s light bulb turned on.

He is pretty much like what we thought Cooks would be downfield. That seam pass made a statement.

Same sort of thing. Guy who was a return specialist but who has special deep speed. That's how I would use Turpin. And that speed will make for easy curl routes too.

It still blows my mind how Dowdle’s ineptitude has been glossed over. Granted, maybe a stretch of a playcall but still.
Other than that play he ran really well against a very tough Pittsburgh run defense, but something tells me it's more of a fluke than something to expect going forward.

Tip of the hat to Prescott. This is the guy I want to see in games and for him to play with urgency in every series. When he gets the determination he can make things happen. He just doesn’t have this sense of urgency enough. Maybe he proved something to himself and I hope he can gain in confidence from this game.
