Absolutely.

That's what I wanted to see.

I don't get why we're insisting on giving 90% of the RB touches to just two those guys, especially when neither has been productive.

Luepke's catch and run was massive. The guy really deserves more chances. I'd replace Zeke with him personally. But they just will never give up on the Zeke thing.

Really bad turnovers that would have been the primary reason for us losing.

He gets a C+ up from a D- for clutching out the win.

I wanted to see a QB sneak or FB draw to Leupke.

What I didn't want to see was a carry by Rico.

Exactly.

I would have taken a Dak sneak there, too. Sans a fumble (gasp) at worst we are now at the one with two more tries at it. Line up and do it again.

Other than the turnovers he was stellar. But the two in the redzone were really really bad. I can stomach the other pick. Taking a shot, you thought hey, my WR should have a shot. The corner kind of banged into Tolbert slowing him up just enough to pick that ball off.

The other INT and the fumble there are just no excuses for.

This is what makes our RB approach even more puzzling -- Leupke has been very productive practically every time he's touched the ball.

You'd think we were running out Emmitt and 2016 Zeke with the way they just stubbornly keep doing everything through Rico and washed Zeke.

C+ / B- . Those turnovers can't happen. Plus he choked and short-armed the first throw to Tolbert that would have won it.

But mostly, the turnovers. Those win and lose games.

Yeah I mean outside the turnovers (and that's a big outside) he was great. He completed the deep passes, he moved the ball consistently, he faced lots of pressure and ultimately marched down the field for the game winning drive. I'd probably go with a B as well. The turnovers were brutal but he was also the reason we almost never had to punt.

Those two redzone turnovers and the arm punt INT nearly lost us the game and I can’t give him a higher grade when he damn near single handedly lost the game for us. Had he only had the arm punt INT, it would’ve been an A/A- performance.
