He would never do this because the cowboys are the cash cow for his other 3 companies …..
Plus, the other companies don't put his ugly mug all over the teevee.

The only thing he might love more than money is attention, and the Cowboys give him that like nothing else.

It's the thing Jerry will never say out loud, but this is exactly right. He isn't about winning at all costs. He is about making money at all costs and maximizing that profit.

Shouldn't the NFL have a problem with this?

Why would they?

The Cowboys do spend money so it's not like they don't try, they just don't spend it aggressively in an attempt to increase their odds of winning. And they also generate so much money for the league that they couldn't care less if the Cowboys don't prioritize winning.

Look at how many years franchises like the Cardinals, Bengals, Browns, and Jaguars didn't even try to win and yet the league never got involved. So if that doesn't cause the NFL to react, what the Jones' are doing certainly won't.

We definitely should be trying Cook in there this week and sit Deuce or Zeke. I don't have much hope for it, but it can't be worse.
The Deuce Vaughn experience can go on pause for a week after this upcoming game. Elliott is like a case of herpes. He will never fully go away.

The only hope with Zeke is that there is some minor injury that the Cowboys can use to sit him down. He has a sore knee, nothing to worry about, he is just going to miss a little time. That's the only way they will do it. They won't just outright bench him, no way to save face. But they certainly can exaggerate some injury and let him "rest up." Then in the mean time you hope someone like Cook looks good and you can justify letting Zeke be a mascot the rest of the season.

Deuce is definitely the one I would sit. He's probably by far our worst runner, and I think Zeke has some utility still.

I'm just not sure of the special teams impact from sitting Deuce but my instinct tells me virtually none.

I mean I don't know if he is the worst "runner" but he is the worst pass blocker and frankly he is too small for Dak to hit as a receiver. So he doesn't have a lot of utility at RB unless he is killing it as a runner which he has not been.

I'd be ok just going 2 RBs on game day + Leupke. I think Zeke and Deuce are unnecessary and allows you to get an extra Dlineman or something up.

Although a bit too basic that reminds me of Any Given Sunday, this is the first time in a long time watching the Jaguars play in a decent uniform set. For years they had sparkles and glitter or other weird shit going on

I blame Dak a lot but good for him getting max value for himself. Jerry waits until the last years to sign players often getting several Pro Bowl years before paying them. The eagles seem to manage the cap just fine and yet the cowboys have a dumpster fire at DT, RB, Wr2, and linebacker. Without Dak playing yesterday we lose by 40. Parsons has been an all pro for three years now and yet we will wait until the last minute and pay him 35+ million because we can’t manage our own cap.

Yes the D sucks.

But the offense is not some clicking machine. We cannot run the ball, our OL is not protecting and our WRs are not separating.
And other than the two OL rookies, the offensive players, coaches, and design are nothing new.

At least the defense has the excuse of working through a new coordinator's 1st season.
