Jerry aside, you can’t with a straight face even try to say we’ve been even close to as bad as the Bears.
Oh, not remotely. We’ve never been on par with teams like the Bears, Jets, Browns, Jags, etc.

I think Thomas has a good point. Maybe we should eliminate the slide rule altogether. These sorts of things like the hit on Lawrence don't happen in a vacuum. Part of the issue is defenders having to worry about fake slides, and part of it is QBs sliding very very late.

I mentioned this a couple of years ago when the qb from University of Pittsburgh made the highlight reels for the fake slide in a game.

Same with using the sideline like Mahomes did this season.

Otherwise let them do it but don't penalize the defense for treating them as a runner.

I just don't think sliding is really all that safe. The concept is nice but you're making your body very vulnerable to a hit when you slide. If a defender isn't able to hold up it's going to end badly.

I'm starting to hope Ben Johnson fails miserably wherever he goes.

Unless here of course

Hope everything goes well. Something is definitely wrong. Tweet showing that Randay eyes were yellow a couple of days ago.

Jori, you ignorant slut.
I sort of agree with this, OL coordination is what really sets apart offenses like Detroit and SF (until they were mangled by injuries this year) from what you see around most of the rest of the league.

Of course the OL coach would need the ability to design an entire offense, but there's no reason a OL coach/former OL couldn't do it while a TE or WR coach can.
