Between my home and business building I pay like $12,000.00 in real estate taxes every year and it absolutely pisses me off. Just because I use my money to purchase things instead of leaving it in some investment account I have to pay the government annually? For something I bought with money that was already taxed by the government. The whole thing pisses me off. I couldn't imagine what it's like to have the property taxes that you do.

Dirty little secret about Texas that you rarely hear mentioned... people always talk about no income tax here, but we basically make up for it with very high property taxes. If you're older and retired, you'd be better off with a state income tax and lower property taxes.

Low property taxes are why I now live in Delaware (no sales tax is a bonus). Pennsylvania's property taxes are out of control.

I moved my grandmother out of Abilene to Lubbock. Driving a 30 foot Penske through those narrow ass streets was a bitch. Climbing the Caprock was even worse.

Me too. Great memories of watching that on Channel 39 at my grandparents' house in Ft Worth when I was a kid.

I was just thinking, wonder why I never see that on the streaming sites when so many other old shows are out there?
