I was surprised Trump accepted the debate given it was run by CNN and would be clearly biased against him.

Maybe he actually listened to his advisors for once?

And maybe they thought it was safe because so long as Trump didn't do anything to shoot himself in the foot, Biden would do all the work for them.

If that was indeed the thinking behind agreeing to that CNN debate, then it was a masterful plan indeed.
