I don't believe that's accurate.
Housing prices were increasing 19-22% year over year. The tariffs caused a price increase on consumables across the board. Spending 7.5 Trillion and adding that to the national debt forced price levels up.

I can go into many details proving that out. His fiscal irresponsibility resulted in massive inflation, and then Biden added to it. But, inflation doesn't happen overnight. It takes years to occur.

Wait. What?
Do you not read economic data? It was all over the place. Biden exacerbated the problem, but it was already there before he took office.

Inflation was under 2% when Biden took office.

Like I said, it takes years to hit. The housing market was the first indicator of inflationary pressure, coupled with the tariffs and heavy spending. Inflationary pressure from Government spending takes 3-4 years to hit an economy, as do tariffs. That, coupled with the Fed artificially suppressing interest rates created a bubble.

Seriously, does anyone here think that adding almost 35% to the national debt in 4 years won't hurt an economy? Because Trump did that. Just because you "didn't see it" doesn't mean that it wasn't there and wasn't going to happen. Just like Biden's fiscal irresponsibility won't be fully felt for another year or two.

Look at 2021 when it started to show up. This is due to lag and creep. None of Biden's policies could have caused that because it happened too quickly. When you see inflation, it's generally based on (depending on which agency calculates it) 3-6 months of rolling data. Meaning, it was happening in Trump's term.

Come on, man. The 2019 year we had a growing economy with some actual quantitative tightening, which is amazing these days.

You can claim Trump shouldn't have spent so much during Covid, fine. But at the time it did seem necessary, at least at first.

But no way you can blame Trump for the continued spending and money printing that happened after Covid. Yes, trillion dollar deficits will cause inflation, they have caused inflation, and they must be stopped. (That and the war on oil and natural gas.) But Trump wasn't even in office then.

Economic growth at an accelerated rate is inflation. That's why one never wants growth to exceed 2.5-3% annually. Otherwise, price levels exceed salary increases. Also, Government spending was incredibly high, and that's one of the factors of GDP. C+I+G+(X-M) is the calculation.

C = Consumer spending
I = Investment
G = Government Purchases
X = Exports
M = Imports
X-M is known as Net Exports

When "G" is higher than "C", you'll see inflation because it forces "C" up and "I" down.

We also had a pandemic over the last few years, which damn near shut down global supply chains while maintaining the same level of demand for products. That also caused prices to rise.

That's stunning. And a clear indication they are going to force him out.
The Democrats made their bed. They should be forced to lay in it. Unless Biden is truly incapacitated or passes away, then they need to deal with the consequences of their decisions.

Am I correct that this is the first time the leftist media has been honest about Biden's bullshit? I don't pay attention to legacy media at all so I'm not sure but it doesn't seem like they have corrected his lies in any sort of honest way before.

These are the same people who lied through their teeth about the Steele Dossier and Hunter's laptop. Expect no apologies but instead more of the same.

God damn, this is hard to watch. I just can't believe this is going to be their candidate. I think their arrogance is shining through just like in 2016.

2 weeks to prepare, the Manhattan Project of chemical cocktails, and CNN slanting everything in his favor and he still gets his ass handed to him.

How many times did Biden say “the idea… the idea…”

It was like the only line he had rehearsed.

It was getting on my fucking nerves.

I mean, wouldn't it occur to them that that is a bad look? They literally don't know wtf they're doing.
As usual, it's hard to tell if they simply aren't nearly as smart as they think they are, or if it's just sheer arrogance and they don't care what we peons think.

He'll be incapacitated or dead within another year. If he wins, President Kamala Harris looms in the near future. Scary huh?

And you know what's really scary? If/when that happens, watch there be 'an attempted assassination' that's pinned on some MAGA loon they'll set up. They've been itching for a race war. That should be just enough to ignite the flames.

Wouldn't shock me if they tried that now as desperate as they are.

I think it's that latter. There is no level of accountability with them. Their voters will believe anything they say and they have the media running cover for them 24/7. It creates an atmosphere of hubris.
