I did not watch the debate, but just watching this was enough to tell me I made a good decision to not watch.
read the tweets, youll get the gist.

It was bad, Biden was horrid as you might expect.

I like RFK.

First Dem candidate I've really liked in a long time.

Yep. I don't agree with him on some things, but you can tell he's following what he believes (and is willing to change his mind if convincing evidence is presented), rather than just serving us shit sandwiches that benefit the elites only and being beholden to the deep state.

I trust him far more than any Democrat.

To me the only real choice is between him and Trump which is why it's a shame RFK wasn't allowed to debate.

But that's the thing -- he IS that bad.

No one should be voting for him. And if you're a true Democrat, you should be demanding that the party present a suitable candidate.
this is the current Twitter thought: that this was deliberate so that the Dems can get rid of Joe in time for the upcoming convention, and install a new candidate. Newsome, maybe?

He'll be incapacitated or dead within another year. If he wins, President Kamala Harris looms in the near future. Scary huh?

And you know what's really scary? If/when that happens, watch there be 'an attempted assassination' that's pinned on some MAGA loon they'll set up. They've been itching for a race war. That should be just enough to ignite the flames.
I was thinking more weekend at Bernies style. Roll up a corpse to the podium, have his wife behind him lifting up body parts to pretend he is alive.

Shit there was that lady Democrat (California maybe) who was in a wheel chair and half dead still holding office. It was insane to me. Feinstein is who I am thinking of.

I really don't believe they want to get rid of him, and it would be hard to justify leapfrogging Harris in favor of Newsom from a DEI perspective. It's one thing if he's elected in a primary they can just say it's the will of the people. But handpicked?

The only person I could see them turning to is Hillary.

And hypothetically he wins (Dear god how is that possible), imagine what his mental state will be in another 4 years? The guy will literally be a vegetable. It's not going to get better or even stay the same. He is going to continue to lose his mental faculties.
What also concerns me is that Trump is starting to show the early stages of cognitive decline as well. It's FAR worse with Biden, but we'd need to prepare ourselves for the likely situation where we get to watch Trump go down the same path over the next 4 years.

Kamala Harris shouldn't be anywhere near the Oval Office. It's bad enough that she's VP.

Gavin Newsom or Dragon Lady. They won't look to Bernie Sanders because he's too old.

Yeah, he's not in the sharpest mental state either.

But if it gets to a point where the cabinets have to call the shots for the lame duck president, I trust Team Red to do a better job of that than Team Blue.

It's like Strom Thurmond from South Carolina. He died while still in office at 100 years old.

Barring his abomination of a tax plan, that goes without saying.

We really shouldn't be electing 80 year olds.

I don't disagree with this. Trump is not the same Trump mentally speaking that we saw in 2020. The guy isn't a spring chicken, while the decline isn't as substantial, I think that's a reasonable concern with Trump. I hope he picks the right VP so that someone is available to really run the country.

I don't see much difference in Trump. Intellect and sharp debate skills were never his forte anyway.
It's there, and has become more noticeable over the last year. The risk here is that if it resembles Biden's decline this time in 2028, the Republicans are all but handing the Democrats the White House and multiple seats in Congress.

You can't worry about 2028 right now. This country is practically in a crisis as we speak. You cross the 2028 bridge when you get to it.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I think it depends what kind of shape the country is in.
