Yep. SALT (State and Local Taxes) cap. It's really bad. It didn't impact my house in McKinney at all, but hit HARD on my house in Los Angeles. My refund is literally $23,000 a year less than what it would be without that cap. It's really painful.
Right, we talked about this before.

Yeah. I dunno.

I'll have to think about that one.

I think he was trying to punish liberal leaning states, lol. Dictator, no, and I see zero evidence he is going to weaponize the justice department, but he is not above using policy to twist the knife, but I would characterize that as more "unpresidential," or "unbecoming," rather than dangerous to democracy.

And generally speaking this is all true.

Look, I'll vote for Rand Paul if he runs. I'll "throw away," my vote on him, even.

But Trump isn't George W. Bush, either. He's not a Neocon.

He's a populist, and that carries it's own set of anti-fiscally conservative problems, but unless I'm saying I'll never vote for a Republican again, Trump actually did deliver on many of the conservative-sided things he promised. I didn't vote for him the first time, but he delivered on a lot, and I felt he earned my vote the second time. And that earns him the benefit of the doubt this time, in my book.

The "kissing up to Putin," thing is silly. It's irrelevant and he actually, policy wise, stood up to Putin, NK, and the Middle East way more than Biden has.
I always hold out hope that Rand Paul would run, as he's the closest thing to a Libertarian in Congress since Ron. But, I just can't vote for a Republican because they've become the same bloated, big government malcontents like the Democrats. It makes me sick to my stomach.

I have always been a huge fan of his dad. I think he would've been the best thing to happen to this country in a long time.

I refuse to support anyone who steals my money.
I know you're not that idealistic. Taxes are necessary. Over-taxation without true representation is not. That's why all that tea got thrown in the water.

He was definitely doing that. And, who can blame him? Regardless of a person's political beliefs, I refuse to punish someone financially or restrict liberty. I don't have to agree with them, but theft is theft. And, my fundamental life principles are (in no particular order):

1. Don't fuck with my money
2. Don't fuck with my family
3. Don't fuck with my guns

I can't support Trump because he did all three, and the Republicans keep pushing some of his fiscally irresponsible policies. I'll say this: if he said that he'd let his God-awful tax plan sunset after next year, I'd consider voting for him. But, he wants to continue it, so I can't.

I consider taxation theft, and property taxes extortion. I recognize that taxes are necessary, but they should be at the lowest levels humanly possible, and force Government (at every level) to be more responsible without forcing me (all of us) to foot the bill for their bad decisions and inability to balance a checkbook.

Another one who doesn’t understand how tariffs work

I'm no expert but I understand what they are and why we use them. They're almost always going to have some drawbacks. Tell me why we shouldn't place tariffs on Chinese goods?

Because they cause the prices to go up for anything that is imported from China. If US manufacturers made the same items domestically, then it wouldn’t matter. But they don’t, so the tariffs basically resulted in the US taxing its own people.

Across the board, we don't provide any of the same products? What are they?

The pressure on Biden to withdraw from the race is way more intense than I expected it would be almost a week later.

CNN is leading that pressure campaign. Probably because they’re offended by the smears from the democrats who are hurt by them exposing what most already knew.

He's not right in that he's infatuated with people like Putin, Kim, etc? He doesn't even try to hide that shit. He wants to be an authoritarian just like they are. Didn't he say that China has so little crime because Xi rules with an iron fist? You don't think he wants to do that shit too?
The thing you don’t get is that he is in this for other reasons. Namely Saudi Arabia, which his coke addled kid was brokering a deal.
