Why does that not surprise me? I'm not so myopic that I would even think of saying that I don't know of one veteran who will vote for Trump. Think of how ridiculous you sound.

My point has been there is a major block of veteran voters that are choosing not to vote for President this cycle.

How ridiculous I sound? That shit's rich.

Technically you said this is the largest contingency. I don't think that's true at all. But sure there are some in that group. You'll find that in every demographic.
Prior to the multi-failed businessman in 2016, it was a small group. I would say when he ran in 2016 he had quite a bit of support from both active duty and retired communities.

However right now the majority of veterans that I talk to have decided not to choose between two shit sandwiches and hope there are better options in 4 years. You can't tell me that all the shit he's talked about the military hasn't lost him a big chunk of veteran support.

Are you telling me they are all voting for Trump?

No dude, I'm telling you I know at least a dozen and even have a few as clients and all the ones I know are voting for Trump.

Trust me, I'm not going to try to change your mind at this point, but I can't believe people would think, "I'll just ignore this election and see what happens next time" when the Dems are telling you how destructive they'll be if they win.

Has nothing to do with being a veteran, either.

I personally think the vast majority view Trump as a big military supporter. Maybe they don't really know what's going on. Maybe they don't pay attention to everything Trump says or does but I think the image most have of Trump when it comes to the military is very different than yours.

As far as personal experience with people from the military it's not huge but it's pretty consistent with what Cujo is saying. Of course I live in Missouri, and not in St. Louis or Kansas City, so naturally the majority of people I run into are Trump voters.

You have to be kidding me. Biden just executed Trump's plan? Trump has said a thousand times he wouldn't have done it the same way -- who would? -- that you obviously don't remove everyone that fast and at the same time, that you obviously get the civilians out first and in an organized way, and you take the military out last.

Also that he wouldn't have left all that expensive equipment behind and just handed Bagram over to the Afghans/Chinese.

But if you're in the defense industry, I do see why you would hate Trump.
It was the deal he negotiated, whether you want to angrily ignore it or not. And, Biden is clearly at fault for executing it in the timeline and to the terms that Trump negotiated. This is well known and well documented. Both botched it, but I put far more on Biden for not refusing to follow it. Trump was an idiot for negotiating with terrorists, but Biden is worse because he honored it. No one should have honored that deal because of the risk it placed on the military, civilians, and national security.

Things are becoming clear now.
Yes, and it’s that Trump truly dislikes the military and has a long, illustrious history of denigrating the heroes in uniform. Very rarely do I hear someone in uniform or on either side of the complex (civilian or private sector) speak complimentary of him because of how he behaved while in office.

JFC, who cares about the blame/credit. It was a disaster that got our kids killed and handed billions of dollars worth of equipment to our enemies.

Did Biden take the blame? I don't remember him doing that.

Like I said though, I totally get now why you hate Trump. Ending the forever wars isn't good for the defense contracting industry.
I’ve worked on both side of the industrial complex, and worked on a variety of programs, platforms, and systems, and over the last 25 years, never once have I heard anyone support those wars. Literally, none of them. We do what we do to help the military create ways to save lives and avoid having to enter into conflict. Minimizing the number of boots on the ground and minimizing the degree of military involvement is why we do what we do.

Jesus Christ, dude, stop watching the news.
Stop perusing Twitter for “facts”. Two can play at that game, my friend. I recognize that the media is biased, but I also recognize that when nearly every person in his circle speaks ill of him after leaving, that something is clearly wrong with the man.

This is a good thing for Trump.
I mean I can't fault her for trying to get an advantage.

But I do find it funny how with Biden the Democratic side fought so hard to get the microphone muting rule in place. And now suddenly they are fighting for the exact opposite. Most of the time I'd say a debate doesn't really matter as much as we might think. But in this particular election it sort of feels like this debate could ultimately decide who becomes President. There aren't going to be multiple debates. It's a close race. Harris is a very unknown candidate. When you look at all of it, it sort of feels like if either side falls flat on their face, they could lose the election as a result.

Ok good, no notes either. He's going to demolish her.
I tried listening to her interview earlier. I got through maybe 5 minutes and couldn’t take anymore.

Dude, she's just not capable of stringing together cogent thoughts for 90 minutes. It's going to be a trainwreck for them.
