Except he really isn't a TE. He's an oversized WR. He doesn't block.I think Bowers is special enough that you can't let last year's pick affect this one, though.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a better college TE.
The way they gushed over Brooks, he is the pick unless someone else gets him first. And then yeah, my bet is on LBer. It's just a question of which LBer. Right now they are all still available but my guess is at least one or two will go before our pick. Colston and Cooper being gone would be the likely scenario like in this mock.Imagine if it fell like that, with Frazier getting that close.
I do think the next pick will be defense. Seems to me when Jerry gets a new coach he likes to give him a new toy. And of course Zim is an old crony.
I'd love to take Fiske in that scenario because he's a pet cat, although we need DEs and LBs too.
I'm with you on Fiske. I think he is an immediate contributor at DT. He isn't maybe NT big but I think he plays like he could play NT. I'd feel a lot better at DT if he was in the mix.I take Fiske Lloyd and Wilson in that mock
Everyone this late in the first at a premium position has some warts or imperfections, though. At least this guy has the natural size and feet, which is the hardest thing to find.
Holy shit. It takes a lot to make me audibly chuckle. Good job, squirt.
We need both, frankly. And more OL help. And more LB help. And maybe a DT and another CB.I’d take a WR before RB in the second. Cooks/Tolbert ain’t good enough for 2/3. Lots of RBs can be had later.
they won’t learn their lesson thoughYea I hope he goes 3 picks before us to serve these idiots right for guffawing about him during the PC last night for about five minutes.
It would be nice. But unless the Cowboys are playing mind games, they love the kid. I don't think they would do anything to risk losing him. It looks clear to me anyway that they have Brooks at RB and then everyone else. I view Brooks as right there with a few other RBs and would have no problem risking losing him. I'd just flip to Benson or Lloyd or Wright or Allen or Estime.Would be nice if we could get Brooks at 73.
Would like JPJ in the second and then a WR or LB with our last third.
True or not I don't think anyone is going to argue Guyton was a reach at 29. But yeah, pure LT's are hard to find. There might not be another guy in this draft capable of playing LT in the NFL. So I'm sure there were teams that wanted to get him.
Normally I don't fully believe this stuff but if it came from the prospect himself I tend to believe it. Plus Guyton was really the "last of the Mohicans" in a lot of ways so I could easily see the Skins trying to move up for him.
