On the play right before the Kearse INT, Parsons coulda woulda shoulda made a huge pick six.

That was such a horrible pass from Brady.

I dunno boys, watching this out of the moment...this was an excellent game all around.

Prescott was dialed in, but the defense was having fun just playing the scoreboard.

We feasted on Brady's fear for damn sure.

I have not found snap counts, but it is pretty clear, this was a game where we have Barr and Vander Esch as the LBers.

Maybe that changes for the 49ers, we will see.

Clark was not involved that much. And that is okay. The fact that he has even played this year and not been another Jaylon Smith-type exposure is a plus.

Vander Esch played like he was Urlacher or something. A lot of him dropping in coverage and he did a great job.

They mentioned earlier in the week that officials would be watching the holders for illegal items, guess it did impact us.
Aha

Just saw the Brady leg whip again. That really was a low class move, especially when there was a doubt whether or not it was complete to begin with. This was not like he had to stop a pick six. What a cunt. We didn't make it hard enough on him. We should have brutalized his ass to the point his parents could only get a smooch from him as he was carted off the field.

I don't hate Diggs, I just think I can get better value with a cheaper CB and a couple high draft picks.
You trade Diggs and the first you get is just going to a corner anyway. A corner that you hope is as good as Diggs.

Deion did make tackles, but so has Diggs.
But Deion was unprecedented before or after in his ability to completely shut off a WR or even one side of the field. He is the exception to the rule about CBs.

Diggs gets beat not infrequently and only picked off 3 passes this year. He is not bad but he’s not worth what they are gonna have to pay him because he has that one season with tons of interceptions.

Damn, watching the celebration in the Jerry suite was funny.

Michael Irvin was running the room.

Fuck trading away top talent because we are afraid to pay them. I'm sick of that shit. It's why Noah Brown is here and Cooper isn't. It's hard to build a team almost entirely through the draft. Trading away the players you actually hit on is just a terrible strategy.

First of all, we are talking about corner, not WR.

Second, if we had gotten a first and second for Amari Cooper like my Diggs hypo and then used the savings to also sign like DJ Chark or Allen Robinson instead of just rolling with Noah Brown, that might have actually been a good move as well.

I’m not afraid to pay top talent, I’ll pay Parsons all day long. What some people don’t get is that you are better off not throwing money at every high end free agent you have sometimes… especially if you can get better value back. Which at corner, if someone is willing to overpay you for a guy who isn’t a shut down corner… is probably in your favor.

Reminder that if Jerry hadn't been a freak about the vaccine, Cooper is probably still here.

It'd be pretty shocking if we could get a 1+2 for Diggs.

You're scenario doesn't exist. We don't sign talented free agents. Robinson is also an awful example for you to use. He was bad for the Rams. Which is why better to keep the guy you know is elite than to roll the dice in free agency or the draft.

The cap is a load of shit if I'm being honest though. It's mirage NFL owners created so they ban have an excuse to keep salaries down. Reality is with this soft cap, you can sign true franchise players like Diggs and Parsons. The cap is so fluid the way you can structure contracts and move money from one year to the next.

Just a reminder that we probably would have been better off trading DeMarcus Lawrence for a first and a third like Frank Clark went for, and we would have been better off trading Ezekiel Elliott instead of giving him that huge contract too. Too often these guys get big paydays that you can see coming are bad value.

Diggs is not older or on the verge of breaking down like Lawrence or Elliott but there are plenty of reasons to be concerned about handing him $100m, which is what he is gonna cost. At least.

Yeah, and I’m not giving him away for free JUST to avoid the contract. I’m saying if you could.

Though fwiw I said first and a second next year, which is like a third in value.
