See?

That's a Garrett staple.

We need to get rid of every remaining piece of that shit offensive design, but we can't do that so long as McCarthy is forced to keep Kellen Moore.
Are you sure man? It's only been 14 years since Ray Lewis was calling out that simplistic offense in 2008.

Let's not be premature. I think the 15th year will be the charm.

What QB has a chance with this kind of design?
"His pocket movement...."

Yeah, his pocket movement and pocket presence have NEVER been good.

So yeah, we need a new OC for sure but nobody can play that position for him and he's always going to have his problems because he is at best, good QB..... not great, and certainly not elite, but just simply good and that is when he's on his game.

Far too often, he's what he was on Sunday -- average to below average.

Yeah, I would just like to see an offensive coordinator that can bring out more of the Bucs game and less of the 49ers game. When Dak is at his best he looks elite. But you're right, when he is out of a groove it's bad. Against the Bucs he threw on the run, off balance, scrambled for yards and just looked so good and comfortable. Against the 49ers after Pollard went down Dak just looked so uncomfortable and lost. You'd hope a QB coach or offensive coordinator could help with that but maybe not.

Anyway, we have 2 years left to try to fix it. I get he is 29 but it is what it is. We have a QB that can make the playoffs might as well use the next two years to see if we can get him over the hump Ala Matthew Stafford.

What quality OC's are available? Who would you like to see get a turn in the Jones spin cycle?

And this is why I've wanted Moore gone for a while.

He's an ok OC, when the running game is working he's comfortable and can dial up some decent variation. He's come up with some nice 4th and short counters this year to throw defenses off when they're keying on Elliott up the middle.

But he doesn't have a holistic, layered scheme that builds on itself the way the best play-callers do and the majority of the passing game is a direct remnant of what Garrett left him with.

Dak is limited, he's very close to being on borrowed time, but we know he's going to be here for another two years, so you might as well get rid of Moore and see him in a completely new scheme as a last ditch effort because this pairing is clearly not working.
