Yep, getting rid of Moore to me is a last ditch shot to salvage Dak and see what he looks like in a completely different system that doesn't date back to Garrett and 1992.

It'd be a precursor to moving on from Dak in 2 years depending on how it goes.
I think Moore is a goner. This scenario is how I think it goes down.

At the end of the day I could care less about making an NFC Championship game. It's all about winning Super Bowls.

Yes, Dan Marino is an all-timer. Kelly a hall of famer. Neither has won a Super Bowl.

Of course Dak isn't in the same league as those guys, buy even having a HoF QB leading your team guarantees you absolutely nothing. They need help, too.
I think we could have beaten the Eagles and Bengals. The team that worried me was the 49ers and the Chiefs. It sucks to feel like we played the 49ers at a level that we should have won and didn't. The defense actually was doing great stopping the run. Our offense in the first half actually looked ok. But once Pollard went down it was just like it all fell apart.

And if he they ever did win a Super Bowl with him it would be in spite of him to the clowns on here. No credit would be given. The defense, the running game, this and that. Facts.
I give credit where credit is due as has a lot of posters here. Real Facts.

But you're talking about how hard it is to win a super bowl. We haven't even won a division round. You can't compare him to guys like elway and Marino struggling to win super bowls because Dak isn't even to the "winning a division round" point yet. It's silly to compare Dak struggling to win in the division round to how hard it is for all timers to win a Superbowl.
Last nights. Last year this team was the same as always. Good but just prone to shooting themselves in the foot. This year they seeemed like they turned the corner and were at least competent.

I gave up on the team after last years loss and they somehow caught some magic this year that had me half believing. After the wild card win and what should have been a win last night vs a 7th round rookie Qb I am almost back to indifference.

"Not giving up on him yet" is basically where I'm at, although if someone I thought was a stud QB prospect was falling in the draft I'd definitely be looking to make a move (our FO won't of course).

Next year should be more of the same in terms of the NFC landscape with no truly dominant team and middling QB's, but the sand in the hourglass is running out quick with performances like yesterday.
I wouldn't just cut Dak to tank but if trading him were financially feasible I certainly would entertain it.

And regardless I'm treating quality developmental QB as a need. Like, I don't need to chase a guy to start this year, but I need to find one who can start - with upside - in 2 years.

After watching Diggs make several business decisions and dropping picks that much worse players would have caught, I would think twice about giving him a massive contract that he is most surely going to demand.
Absolutely. We have 2 guys with huge potential in Bland and Muk. Fuck that guy and his fucking business decisions. But when has Jerry ever let a "star" like Diggs get away. Pretty great cover guy that can be fooled cuz he wants stats, well, except tackle stats. He was a borderline embarrasment in the playoffs.

After enough let downs, it’s a lot easier to accept stupid shit like last night. That’s just a given with Jerry Jones in charge. I laugh at his pure idiocy now, because I can only imagine how desperately he wants to win a SB his way, yet he’s the guy standing in the way of winning it…but the narcissist in him can’t see that. Has to maddening.
27 years without a divisional playoff win is, I believe, the longest in the NFL. That has to penetrate Jerry's narcissism. The ultimate football guy, the ultimate failure, another year closer to the grave. How does that not drive him over the edge?

They should trade Diggs and saturate DB with mid round picks, where they've had luck, and veterans. And they are getting back Brown and Lewis.

Diggs can probably bring back a first plus.

But they won't.
