At the end of the day I could care less about making an NFC Championship game. It's all about winning Super Bowls.Prescott hasn't even gotten to Danny White level of criticism, but you're wanting to do a leap of magnitude to compare criticisms of Hall of Famers Marino and Kelly.
It is, if your bar is top 7 finish, life is grand. My bar is higher than that.
And if he they ever did win a Super Bowl with him it would be in spite of him to the clowns on here. No credit would be given. The defense, the running game, this and that. Facts.Well I guess I will wait with anticipation for him to somehow get it several years down the road.
Agreed. After watching Diggs make several business decisions and dropping picks that much worse players would have caught, I would think twice about giving him a massive contract that he is most surely going to demand.
Wouldn't mind letting him walk like we did with Byron Jones, especially if it means keeping a great front 7 intact. After watching Diggs make several business decisions and dropping picks that much worse players would have caught, I would think twice about giving him a massive contract that he is most surely going to demand.
Something has to change offensively, it's not going to be Dak right now and Moore sure as shit hasn't done enough to prove himself as a top offensive designer, so he has to be the one to fuck right off.Well, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Over the last several years I had conditioned myself to not let it bother me, but this one stung.
We could've won that game, should've won that game. Outside of one drive the defense played lights out. LVE is much better than I gave him credit for early in the season, he proved it the past two weeks, our defense is much better with him out there. D-Law played as well as I have ever seen him, that play he made on Deebo was excellent. The entire defense (except for Diggs) was physical. That defense gets you to a championship game.
But you have to score more than 12 points. What the actual fuck? Ok, so the 9ers have a good defense, really good. But the Raiders scored 34 a few weeks ago, Washington 20 points a week early, and even the Dolphins put up 17. Fucking 12? The entire offensive coaching staff should be fired. Shitty play designs, WR running lazy routes, TE don't know you have to get two feet down in bounds, QB constantly throws in to coverage. "Hang on guys, I saw this in a flag football game once, its totally gonna work!" WTF was that? I really thought we would lose by a field goal or an extra point, that wouldn't have bothered me so bad because we all knew that was a problem, we just couldn't really do anything about it. But to have the offense stutter and trip all over itself is embarrassing.
Dak may not be a great QB, he has been turn over prone all year, but he isn't going anywhere. Give me a coach who will actually game plan and use the pieces we have in place to create favorable match ups and scheme someone open. Maybe run one play, then later in the game run play that kinda looks the same but goes somewhere else.... I mean holy shit, coordinate the offense.... That's Moore's one job, and he can't do it on a week to week basis.
maybe you misunderstood my premise. We have supplied Dak with ample talent to succeed on a higher level, and yet he hasnt risen to the occasion. At a point, one has to conclude that giving him a perfect roster wont matter.Nobody said their bar isn't higher than that.
Something has to give with the offense.Something has to change offensively, it's not going to be Dak right now and Moore sure as shit hasn't done enough to prove himself as a top offensive designer, so he has to be the one to fuck right off.
But I'm sure he'll be back next year and we'll see the same slop shit when the lights are brightest.
I would argue that they took talent away from him this year that would have helped him succeed. We have supplied Dak with ample talent to succeed on a higher level,
He is not a QB that will make average talent better. In fact, I think he needs a team of all-stars around him for him to succeed. So the longer we stick with him, the more resources we have to pour in around him to have a chance. It is kind of a minor miracle we won as many games as we did this season.I would argue that they took talent away from him this year that would have helped him succeed.
Replace Gallup with Cooper and the offense probably looks better. But there would still be problems.I would argue that they took talent away from him this year that would have helped him succeed.
Yeah, Kellen Moore. But there would still be problems.
Yep, getting rid of Moore to me is a last ditch shot to salvage Dak and see what he looks like in a completely different system that doesn't date back to Garrett and 1992.Something has to give with the offense.
And since Prescott is going to be here, the next step is Moore. We simply cannot win games with the simplistic scheme we have, particularly when the passing offense is about as primitive as it gets with the curls and comebacks and a QB who has a tough time reading zone coverage.
Those are fair points and I agree with them, but if this guy struggles to read things and dissect defenses in a simplistic scheme, how the hell are we supposed to expect him to do better in a more elaborate system?Something has to give with the offense.
