And, what makes matters worse is about midday yesterday I started feeling like shit, and then this morning woke up with the flu or covid or some such bullshit. I feel like death warmed over.

Yes, it would have obviously been pretty cathartic to get to a point we haven't gotten to in almost 30 years. Yes that's a different tier of evaluation.

My point is you are defending dak not winning in the division round by pointing out that all timers struggled to win super bowls. Those are two different things.
Again, the questioning would continue. He can't get to an NF C Championship game, he can't get to a Super Bowl. He can't win a Super Bowl. You know it.

I've come to the point in life where I don't let this stuff eat me up for long because I've got other things in my life that are more important.
Absolutely.

That has played as big a part in me not letting these things bother as me as the apathy has.

Good for you.

Not winning the Super Bowl still demonstrates at least consecutive winning performances, or at least not losing performances.

We are cowed by 'consecutive', let alone talking about three or four.

They don't really hurt anymore, but I was totally meh about last year as I saw that coming a mile away.

It bothered me to lose last night's game because of how poorly Dak played, but I'm over it now in the sense that it's not affecting my mood or making me replay the game in my head.

Had this occurred in 2010? I'd be sick right now.
After enough let downs, it’s a lot easier to accept stupid shit like last night. That’s just a given with Jerry Jones in charge. I laugh at his pure idiocy now, because I can only imagine how desperately he wants to win a SB his way, yet he’s the guy standing in the way of winning it…but the narcissist in him can’t see that. Has to maddening.

I'm not holding my breathe though because I think McCarthy and the rest of them severely overrate Dak's ability.
I actually don't think they do. McCarthy has coached Favre and Rodgers and was around Joe Montana as a young coach. He knows what top QBs look like, and he knows what the Elvis Grbacs and Rich Gannons look like.

But what can he do about it? He's not going to say anything negative in the media, and he shouldn't.

I would love to know what he really thinks and says behind closed doors, though.

I think your point is valid if Dak was 23-24 and was throwing INTs, rushing throws, missing reads etc.
The guy is 30, talks about learning from his “mistakes” yet hasn’t learned shit and still loses games because of the same mistakes he made last season and the season before that. All the while though, he’s wanting to be paid like the top 3-4 QBs in the league.

He deserves every bit of shit and doubt thrown at him.

Prescott hasn't even gotten to Danny White level of criticism, but you're wanting to do a leap of magnitude to compare criticisms of Hall of Famers Marino and Kelly.

Nah.

Dak was finished.
That shoulda been pick six to Fred Warner. One play doesnt mean shit to the next, but that one play said it all. We'd struggle getting out of our red zone, let alone getting to midfield, letting alone getting into their red zone, letting alone getting a TD.

It's a different level of questioning and it was disingenuous of you to compare Dak's divisional failings with Marino's and Kelly's super bowl failings. And you know it.

So it's this regular season? I mean he's had really good regular seasons in the past. And he wasn't awful this year. Just the INT's the last couple months. So what happened? Hasn't and won't fully recover from the ankle?

I mean we've seen him play good against good opposition before. Put up good numbers. Did he forget how to play QB? Or just don't think he'll ever do it in the playoffs when you need it 3 or 4 straight games. It can't all be in the QB to win 4 straight. Need some help along the way.

And that's another one of my points about Josh Allen. As good as he is. And as good as his WR's are and TE he has never had a RB or a running game. He needs help.

I mean when TP went out and Zeke was in there we had no chance. We were handicapped. And then they motion Zeke out and he lines up at WR? What a waste. And we can't go 5 wide because we don't even have 3 worthy WR's yet alone 4 or 5.
Well I guess I will wait with anticipation for him to somehow get it several years down the road.

Dak is and will be here, so all we can do it put the best team possible around him and hope for the best.
This is where I'm at. We have Dak, make it work. We aren't going to rebuild in the middle of back to back 12 win seasons. Maybe try going all in instead of hoping to keep drafting and slowly building as other talent deteriorates and leaves.

Exactly. What does how hard it is to win a Superbowl have to do with Dak?
