This defense has some solid talent, ended last season at 7th overall. I know there's a lot of moving parts in that status, but overall I think Quinn did an excellent job turning this unit around. Only major concern I see is stopping the run up the middle. Big, physical lines and RB's absolutely dominated us. This has been a reoccurring problem for years.
The defense last season was very fun to watch.
But there is no fucking way it repeats itself to those kind of grotesque levels. It really was like seeing Thurman's Thieves all over again.
If we elect to blitz the offense in the first three rounds and then let Quinn try to dig through the bounty of fifths, that is not a very measured approach.
We are basically saying that in the first three rounds, we need a starting guard, pretty much a starting WR and/or TE.
