Sometimes players just take bad angles and that's exactly what happened there.

Which reminds me, with the way this team is causing turnovers right now I cannot wait for Donovan Wilson to come back.

Not only will he give the team a much needed improvement in play in the secondary, he also was proving to be quite the turnover machine himself last year.

Isn't it crazy we are 5-1 and have beaten some damn good teams? And we don't even have our best pass rusher, and a damn good safety?

Well, you play Gallup and you take Wilson off the field who had been clutch AF. However, you then put CeeDee in the slot where he's just unfair.

Thing is, Gallup is a much better deep threat than Wilson and offers more potential for chunk plays along with opening more opportunities for Lamb in the slot as you mentioned.

I'd like to see how many times we go for it on fourth down. We have to be leading the league as we seem to go for every fourth down. Mike might be the most aggressive coach in the league. Sometimes good and sometimes bad. It tells you one thing the coaching staff is confident in the offense.

Fat Mike is going to cost this team an important game if he continues to go full 'tard with his clock management/crunch time decisions. The timeout with 24 seconds left in regulation was absurd but will be forgotten because they won.

I'm okay with the timeout. At that point, it was a 51 yard FG. Probably also wanted to see how close we were to a 1st down.

Although I do agree with you about the first 50+ FG attempt that was missed left.

That Roy Williams interception basically won us the game. The garbage time score was the Bledsoe to Terry Glenn TD a few plays earlier.

I remember I didn't even celebrate that touchdown because I figured that it was a garbage time score.

But the Roy pick? I jumped all over the living room.

That’s what I was saying. The TD we scored to make it 20-14 I was sure was just a garbage time TD. Thought the Eagles would run out the clock and even if not our offense couldn’t put together another scoring drive.

Then Roy pick-sixed ‘em for the win. Glorious.

Yeah, I get that. I was thrown off at first too. But to me it's like the clock management snafu at the end of the Chargers game. It's literally Mike's job (or someone else designated on the sideline's job) to get this stuff right. You can't have your head coach being like Ron Burgandy - "he'll read whatever you put on the cue card" - if you're trying to win a championship.

The Cowboys back then did not have a clutch bone in their body and were known for always losing those sorts of games. That's why I didn't even get my hopes up even when the defense took the field.

I remember right before they snapped it, I kicked the chair in front of me and said "Come on you faggots! Somebody make a crunch time play FOR ONCE!"

I think they were also making sure they didn't need to go for it on fourth. I get it but in hindsight I would have let more time go off.

I think, unless I’ve further confused myself about the sequence, but I’m pretty sure it should have been 2nd and 25 and not 3rd and 25.

It wasn’t a dead ball foul if I remember right. The penalty that was accepted occurred during the play.

That was the reasoning for not getting penalized for both flags.
