Post-Draft Press Conference starting soon...which means nobody working the phones to get back into the 1st.

That trade just demonstrated how the rest of the league can giggle to themselves while they work over the Joneses.

We traded with a fucking division rival.
we traded with them last year, too. and ended up with Badass who should be our starting center this year, and was pretty much cheered by everyone when drafted.

a fucking division rival.

I always thought that bit about not trading with a division rival was BS. Sounds like something a coward GM would do to protect himself. If you have confidence in your evaluations you shouldn't care who you're dealing with.

Valid point.

Is Parsons better at LBer than Moehrig at Safety?

Is Parsons so much better at his respective person that it was worth the 2022 1st (consider it's the Bears, too) vs 3rd #84?
we dropped two spots. they dropped what, around a dozen or so? quite the difference.

Sorry if the Eagles are you concern right now you have no chance at a Super Bowl ever.

If getting a corner is a real deal with this team, we are going to end up with one of the UGA corners.

Neither of which could catch a pass if ti

You are honestly telling me the stakes weren't different?

All that tells me is that we don't have a wide network to trade with.

We have to go to fucking Roseman, who has his own designs as a rival.

That is a big part of our problem. We don't have connections in the league in regards to trades.

Man, it's so nice not needing to draft a WR as all these other teams take them. I feel about most WRs like a lot of you guys do about corners.

I would agree with you in a vacuum.

So you are saying we have a bold competent GM?

Posted it way back, but David Moore said well before the pick that we've loved Parsons all along.

So right or wrong, I don't think it was a panic move.
I was thinking about this earlier. I remember Stephen or someone recently mentioning that LBer isn't worth a top pick unless he can rush the passer. Well who is the most talented pass rushing LBer in this draft? Parson clearly. I think there were more clues than we realized. The LVE thing also should be a clue we liked Parsons more than anyone realized.

Of course. But that's the comparison. Does Parsons make the Cowboys defense that much better than Moehrig would've? Both are the top rated players at a position of need.

What should he do? Say I suck, therefore I'll stay here and take a player even though I could get him later plus a pick?

I'm sure you hate this guy too but I either want Asante Samuel or I'd rather wait until the third and hope for Adebo. I really like Adebo but am prepared for you to tell me now he is total shit. I think the guy is a flawless fit and a ballhawk.

Stephen Jones (SJ)

SJ: We really liked Parsons and didn't want to drop far. We knew what the Eagles were trying to do (get ahead of the Giants) and the Eagles told us they were drafting offense...We had talked with Eagles a couple days ago about this

Jerrruh: Not concerned that this is an intra-division trade...Had our eye on Micah.

Jerruh: Could've had worked down a round and pick up more picks. But we had resolved that we had the #10 pick and wanted a player with substantiative upside. We didn't have the stomach to risk losing that player or else you would've seen us make two or three smaller trades.

To me, the difference is that he's fast enough to stay on the field on passing downs, whether that's rushing or coverage. The time you can't take a LB too high is when he's only a two-down player.

I like Samuel and Adebo has been a favorite of mine since he was supposed to come out last year.

I don't think Samuel will make it to our next pick.

I also don't think either are our type. We are going after Melifonwu or some such shit.
