I don't think a 3 mil slot corner should stop that.
Why would it? This is a silly reason to get all mad. It's a good resigning. Lewis was a solid corner for us.

Yeah I remember once when I was upset we drafted Dak because I was afraid it would prevent us from pursuing a legit Romo replacement. I've stopped thinking this way.

They exist in a bubble and are basically out of touch with the reality around the league.
Well Crawford was awful. But what we do in free agency is just horribly flawed. I don't even think it has anything to do with contracts we hand our own guys. Except for the fact that we constantly think the guy in the building is better than the free agent options. Jerry wears rose colored glasses for his own players.

Ohhhh those crafty Jones boys trying to throw smoke and get everybody thrown off the trail of FA.

Except, we all know they're clueless hillbilly fucks who have never been able to manage free agency to help build this team.

72 hours and the only external signings are a long snapper and a swing tackle.

Efficient.

Ah yes....the Cowboys patented solution to the safety position that fails year after year after year.

1. Draft one in the 5th round
2. Sign an over-the-hill JAG to a cheap contract
3. Convert CB currently on roster to S

I mean, reading that back to myself, I really can't understand why we haven't been able to find or develop an Ed Reed.

It's mind-boggling.

How about we just sign an actual, accomplished capable safety?

I only have so many fingers to cross.

With the rest of the NFC east making moves to improve, when will the Cowboys stop being cheap and looking on the clearance rack?

So barely more than 4 million/year and only counts roughly ~2.5 in 2021?

Seems fine, let's just hope it makes CB at 10 less likely.
the numbers do actually seem reasonable, esp if it prevents the CB at 10
