Shoe's on the other foot now, bitchRomo just said, "Just the tip there, Jim".
I just remembered the party lines, think it was late 80s but could have been early 90sThinking about the 80s made me do a little thinking back. Below are some things off the top of my head that were cool back then...
1. Trapper Keepers
2. Parachute pants (not all that cool looking back, but I had a pair)
3. Blue jean jackets
4. Rolled up and tightly cuffed pant legs
5. Converse shoes (all different colors, and sometimes I wore different colors on the same day)
6. Hair bands
7. Mix tapes (shit, it sucked ass when you would sit there all day waiting for that song to record and miss the first of it)
8. Speaking of music... the Walkman.
9. Jams (and, I'm not talking about music)\
10. Alf
11. He-Man
12. Ghostbusters
13. "Just say no"
14. Pencils/cassettes
15. Phone cords on the kitchen phone that were like 150 feet long
16. Be kind, rewind
17. Rubix cubes
18. Colored toilet paper
19. Carpet toilet seat covers
I think I could go on, but I would bet y'all could add more.
Shoe's on the other foot now, bitch

Young GunsChoose your most favorite movie from the 80s.

You and John cougar small townThat's right. I think we have talked about that before. This town was named Blooming Grove. It is where I went to school from 7th-10th grade before moving to Malakoff.
You watching the game now?Kind of a weak PI call on the goalline there
Well, on a scale from 1 to Trubisky who is the worst starting qb in the NFL right now and why did you choose TrubiskyWonder if the Bears are still enamored with Trubisky?
Wrong. The 90's was fucking good. Really, really good. But the 80's was great. Pretty much every genre of music was. Rock, Metal, County, Pop, Rap. (can't believe I included that shit, but I can give credit where credit's due)Only the 90s was better for music.
This just might be your single greatest post of all time. No, there is no compromise here.
The 1990s alternative scene paled in comparison to the music explosion in the 1980s.
That was the era where music videos made music you would have never heard of otherwise become popular.
Otherwise, you were controlled by a disc jockey and Big Records.
You know, I can admit when I am wrong. You are right, the entire decade of the 80s was great, and only a little over half of the 90s was great. That should, technically, give the 80s the edge.Wrong. The 90's was fucking good. Really, really good. But the 80's was great. Pretty much every genre of music was. Rock, Metal, County, Pop, Rap. (can't believe I included that shit, but I can give credit where credit's due)
The 80's was great from 01 Jan 80 to 31 Dec 89. The 90's were great for about the first half of the decade. Then it slowly started to change. By the end of the decade, shit was turning into a mess. That was when modern music shit itself. There is still some good music out there if you look for it. But there will never be music like back then.
