I was expecting a flag on the onsides kick or we'd throw an INT or get a holding penalty to negate getting into FG position, or ultimately us missing the FG.

I didn't believe we won until TV sent coverage back to Curt Menefee in LA.
I worked today so I had to record the game. I even added a 30 minute extension to the recording (DirecTV feature) thinking that would be enough. The game moved along so slowly and with so many stoppages that my recording ended exactly at the onside kick. They were lining up to kick the ball and the video ended. :picard

I had to watch the last couple of minutes via YouTube highlights to find out we won the game. :lol

Apparently Gallup says he got his left elbow down before his butt/right elbow hit. That plus his foot would be a clear catch.

Damn. Diggs has been kicked out for a helmet to helmet hit. You rarely see that in the NFL.

Edit: Diggs not Adams.

Remembering another miraculous win vs Buffalo MNF, look, there's Nick Folk.

Made a nice little career for himself, he did.

DeMarcus Lawrence
#90 DE

7:03 p.m. -- Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence played limited snaps in the second half of Sunday's comeback win over Atlanta due to a right knee injury sustained in the first half.
Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie sustained a hamstring injury on a punt block attempt in the fourth quarter and was not able to return.
Both players will be re-evaluated Monday.

__

Might have been why he disappeared in the second half. He needs to get going. POS
I wondered why I heard Dorrance Armstrong's name a lot.

This is the kind of record we would usually be on the wrong side of with Garrett
no doubt, I started a thread years ago on another forum that was FULL of stats like this were the Cowboys/Garrett were on the losing end

would be nice if this trend reversed for the next decade or 2

The scheme is shit. And dare I say it we need more Trysten Hill? The only DT who looks worth a shit? I also thoight the run defense was good. We got our fair share of stops for little to no gain.

3.3 YPC on run defense is good. We still couldn't marry the coverage with pressure at all. Diggs looks good but fuck I'm ready for Earl Thomas, to hell with the attitude.
I am ready for Thomas too. There were way too many holes back there today.. And I’m gonna say I love Joe Thomas. It seems that every time I’ve watched him play he makes plays and flys to the ball. They got Leary, they need another LB and I would sign Matthews, and I would sign Earl Thomas.

After watching Garrett snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so many times, it's nice to see the Cowboys pull a miracle win out from a game they had no business winning.

Having said that, it is very troublesome to me to see how many coaching blunders the Cowboys have made in all aspects of the game in just 2 short weeks.

McCarthy choosing to go for it last week when they had a chance to tie, and then today he inexcusably goes for two way too early and essentially let all the air out of the balloon. They only recovered because of a miracle.

Then you have that idiotic second fake punt of the game where they ran the type of play you would expect if it was fourth and one or two, not fourth and five.

And finally, Mike Nolan asking guys that are true 4-3 ends to keep playing standing up is idiotic. I'm all for bringing creativity and exotic looks after dealing with Jason Garrett's bland units, but you also have to be able to recognize when your personnel is not a fit for what you are asking them to do.

There are an alarming amount of dumb coaching decisions that we have seen in such a short amount of time and I am shocked by it.

We are going to be in deep shit if that doesn't change and soon.
Completely agree. One thing I thought we could bank on with the McCarthy hire was that he'd at least make the right common sense decisions but as you mentioned, they've gone overboard and are struggling with the time, distance, and situation aspects that factor into the decision making process.

I didn't have a problem with the first fake punt. It was drawn up perfectly, just poorly executed by Jones.
