Well nobody is. Like Baseball and the pitchers QBs tend to get the credit for wins.


The Athletic just didnt take into account that it's a different game now then it was then. If Aikman needed to air it out he could have. Plus it seemed like quite a few times Irvin was caught at the 1 or 2 yard line and Emmitt benefited.

Comparing different eras isn't fair. Sometimes it's about more than just stats. It was a different NFL back then. Who knows what Aikman would look like in todays NFL.

He will have his pick of jobs and has no reason to rush. The first team to the table has no advantage at all like you said.
